Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 I finally got around to purchasing a copy of "Gattaca" starring Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman over the weekend and when I watched it, I remembered why I love the movie so much. Brilliant script, excellent score and great story. I do not see enough love for this film anywhere. Definatley in my top ten. Anybody else a fan of this gem? Downhome 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 I love this movie, but it's been a while since I've seen it. As far as I'm concerned it's a modern sci-fi classic, even if very underrated by so many people. The only reason I don't own it is because I've never been able to find the widescreen version for cheap, and also because I keep expecting a new special edition, but it never comes. Did you find a WS version?
Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 Indeed I did, the version I bought is apparently new because it credits Jude Law as one of the stars on the cover and has a picture of him too (I guess to capitalize on Jude's fame). I got it for $8 from Amazon. I think it still retains all the features from the previous release too.
dubq 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 I can't believe I still haven't bought a DVD of this movie. I still have the VHS sitting in my bookcase. One of the few VHS I have left, heh.

The Buzz 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 I thought it was a great movie, I remember we got to watch it one year in Science because we were studying DNA. Pretty fun week in Science.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2007 Agree with the crowd. Great movie. Also turned me on to Jude law for the first time. Well-done script, scarily realistic future scenario without being over-the-top. One aspect I really liked was the music.
