Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2007 SNME was decent live. The Smackdown! tag match had Finlay and Hornswoggle and seeing Khali live was awesome. The intros to the boxing match were funny stuff, but then it dragged. Holyfield got an insane pop. Orton RKOing Cena was insane- crowd was whipped into a frenzy at that point. The ECW tag was fun if only because we had a bunch of people in our section doing ROH chants like Man Up and You're Gonna Get Your Fuckin Head Kicked In. Austin showing up at the end blew the roof off the place and had everyone marking out- awesome stuff Your gonna get your fuckin head kicked in is NOT an ROH chant. Its been around for decades in football A great majority of chants originate from another source before finding a place with a wrestling crowd. “Man Up” has obviously been a part of the athletic lexicon for a great deal of time but the term has only just recently permeated into a wrestling environment thanks to Jay and Mark Briscoe. Hence, the reason why it can accurately be identified as a ROH chant. The same can be said about the “You’re gonna get your fucking head kicked in” since it grew in volume with respect to Samoa Joe and the birthplace was in the confines of the ROH realm.
