Each wrestling organization needs to segment itself:

 

WWE - casual fans, sports entertainment

TNA - more X-Division stuff, more tag team stuff, less sport entertainment, less Jeff Jarrett

I think TNA is trying too hard. ROH is slowly building up to being a big promotion. TNA was built immediately to compete with the WWE.
