CanadianChris Posted September 30, 2007 Author Report Posted September 30, 2007 Both picks were pretty bad.
Kahran Ramsus Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 The better question is, who took Miami and why? I took Miami. They were a team desperate for a win playing a west coast team travelling east for a 1 PM EDT game. I might be regretting this shortly. I knew Dallas was a lock, but I decided to do something a little more risky this week.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 FUCK!! I forgot to pick. And my pick (Dallas) dominated.
CanadianChris Posted September 30, 2007 Author Report Posted September 30, 2007 I'm glad I switched from San Diego to Dallas. The Chargers aren't looking so good.
CanadianChris Posted September 30, 2007 Author Report Posted September 30, 2007 And the original forty are down to eight.
Hawkius Maximus Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 The best of the best~! The best of the best bah gawd! I'm excited to have made it this far on my first attempt.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I hate the Chargers now.
Vern Gagne Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I would of lost with my backup pick so I can't really complain.
Guest Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Since we're going to see a lot of differing picks from here on out, I plan on keeping my mouth shut and saying good luck to the rest of you.
BX Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Um, does the winner of this get some sort of prize? A surprise visit from Bob Barron? A signed picture of Scott Keith and Dames frenching?
LaParkaMarka Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Um, does the winner of this get some sort of prize? A surprise visit from Bob Barron? A signed picture of Scott Keith and Dames frenching? Those aren't prizes at all. That's punishment.
CanadianChris Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 Um, does the winner of this get some sort of prize? A surprise visit from Bob Barron? A signed picture of Scott Keith and Dames frenching? You get the knowledge that you outsmarted a bunch of faceless message board posters to win a meaningless internet contest. Sorry, our sponsor backed out this year.
the pinjockey Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 This week's tally Indy - 3 Tenn - 2 Pats - 1 Saints - 1 Texans - 1
Hawkius Maximus Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 I survive again! Vince Young NEARLY knocked me out with his three ints, but by god I'm still in this thing~! w00t and whatnot.
CanadianChris Posted October 8, 2007 Author Report Posted October 8, 2007 The board for this week: Indianapolis - 3 Tennessee - 2 Houston - 1 New England - 1 New Orleans - 1 Down to 7.
alfdogg Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Oh, FUCK YOU, San Diego. That game would have been very helpful last week, you know.
the pinjockey Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 This week 3 - SD 2 - Arizona 1 - Philly 1 - Balt
CanadianChris Posted October 14, 2007 Author Report Posted October 14, 2007 Interesting, interesting...I thought a lot more people would be on Baltimore than just me: San Diego - 3 Arizona - 2 Baltimore - 1 Philadelphia - 1
BX Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Baltimore has been extremely inconsistent this year, and the Rams can still be a dangerous team.
CanadianChris Posted October 14, 2007 Author Report Posted October 14, 2007 Baltimore has been extremely inconsistent this year, and the Rams can still be a dangerous team. I picked the Ravens because they're undefeated at home, and the Rams are quite an awful team. And I still don't trust the Chargers, who have defined inconsistent this season.
LaParkaMarka Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Carolina might be starting 80 year old Vinny Testaverde. That's reason enough to pick the Cardinals.
the pinjockey Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 I am just scared of picking the Ravens given if their opponents can put up a TD it becomes worrisome. Plus I had to pick Philly at some point and against the Jets is as good a time as any.
CanadianChris Posted October 14, 2007 Author Report Posted October 14, 2007 I'm safe for another week. Next week is going to be scary, though.
CanadianChris Posted October 14, 2007 Author Report Posted October 14, 2007 The Arizona backers are out; five are left. God bless Vinny.
Hawkius Maximus Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 I REALLY didn't like picking San Diego given that like...3/4ths of the people have been knocked out by their play, but there weren't any other games that seemed like they had as good of a chance. Thankfully, they won.
CanadianChris Posted October 21, 2007 Author Report Posted October 21, 2007 No real surprises this week: N.Y. Giants - 3 Seattle - 1 Washington - 1
Guest Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 I've been picking way too many teams that barely get through their games. "Survival" football indeed.
