USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Not that I'm banking on it, but if Florida loses to Auburn, wouldn't that mean the last two Florida losses would be against Auburn?
teke184 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Yep... although last year's loss had some questionable calls that weren't overturned on replay. (LSU had the same problem with Auburn's replay official last year as well.)
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 What the fuck is Florida doing out there? This is ridiculous. Looks like they are reverting back to the horrendous play-calling we've seen in the past.

Maybe they traded Meyer to Illinois today for Zook, thinking they wouldn't need him for Auburn.
Guest Smues Report post Posted September 30, 2007 A pick run back for a TD and it's tied back up in Seattle.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 A 17-14 lead for USC heading into halftime? I'll take it.
Bored 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Oregon State was up 14-12 on UCLA early in the 4th and then turned the ball over three times in less than three minutes, including back-to-back kick offs, and UCLA is now up 33-14. Ouch. I'm not surprised at all that Washington is giving USC a game. This just had the smell of a game that USC will have to sweat out until the end. And really after today should anyone be surprised by anything now?
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Nice try, Auburn, but you're not winning this game. EDIT: Guess I was wrong. I thought the refs were doing their best to give the game to UF with the interference call and then the unsportsmanlike call against Tuberville, but I guess not. Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Well, there goes Florida's season. I'm expecting a 20-25 point less next week to LSU.
Bored 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 That's five Top 10 teams down now. And USC still doesn't put Washington away.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Down goes Florida! Down goes Florida! </cosell> I thought they'd pull that one out. That kicker totally wanted to fuck Holly Rowe after she said "Good job, freshman."
Slayer 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 now I feel better about KSU's loss to Auburn Wonder what the record is for Top 10 teams losing in a single weekend
Bored 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 With all these teams falling, I'm just expecting Ohio State to sneak in and take a BCS title game spot. Sometimes I hate college football. They get Wisconsin at home. They have as relastic a shot as anyone at this point to run the table. Hell if Oklahoma takes care of Texas next week they still have a shot. Nevermind, USC does put it away after the interception is overturned.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 What the hell does the top 10 look like tomorrow? We're going to see some crazy stuff. I'm thinking BC and Kentucky suddenly jump into the top 10 now. West Virginia, Texas and Rutgers are definitely dropping out.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Nevermind, USC does put it away after the interception is overturned. 10 points with 3 minutes to play is not "putting it away".
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Virginia Tech will probably be in the top 10 just by everyone ahead of them falling, which is pretty retarded.
Bored 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Top 10 Guess 1. USC 2. LSU 3. California (shoot me) 4. Ohio State 5. Wisconsin 6. Kentucky 7. Boston College 8. South Florida 9. South Carolina 10. Oklahoma Georgia or Virginia Tech could end up #10 as well. I'm also going under the assumption people will remember South Carolina beat Georgia on the road but that might be a big assumption since they didn't last week. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 If USC wins this game, they don't get any style points but to win when you commit a lot of mistakes is somewhat encouraging. Though it could be Washington not being as good as advertised.

USC pretty much finished it off, though, after Washington's QB fucked up and passed while he was across the line of scrimmage.

Question of the week- Who should be Number 1: An LSU team that was up by 1 at the half, then controlled the rest of the game and won by 24? Or a USC team that was neck-and-neck with Washington the whole game and won ugly?

USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Well if you look at the quality of the opponent, you'd say USC, but damned that was just too ugly. I'd pick LSU.

I can't fathom a world where Kentucky is just outside the top 5. What a chaotic season and we still got a ways to go.
Bored 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Washington is a much better team than Tulane who had no business even making LSU sweat for a half. That being said I thought LSU was #1 going into the week and USC hasn't done enough to warrant me thinking otherwise.

MFer 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 The way this season's gone, I would be pretty surprised if anyone went undefeated this year. That would just create a nightmare for the BCS.
teke184 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 When do the rankings that actually mean something come out? Another week or two, when the last computer polls are published. Four of the computers, plus the Coach's Poll and the Harris Poll, are already public.
teke184 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 The way this season's gone, I would be pretty surprised if anyone went undefeated this year. That would just create a nightmare for the BCS. The BCS nightmare scenario at this point would probably be: USC and Cal winning out until their match-up in November. The winner then loses the next week (Cal at Washington, USC at Arizona State) LSU winning out until the SEC Championship Game, then losing to a Kentucky or South Carolina team whose one loss is to LSU earlier in the season. (Florida would have a losses to LSU and Auburn under this scenario) South Florida winning at least 5 more games (including a win over undefeated Cincinnati), then losing late in the year to Louisville or a horrible Pitt team. Ohio State winning 11 games, then losing the Michigan game. Boston College winning 12 games, then losing the ACC CG to a team with 2 or more losses (Miami or V-Tech perhaps). That would eliminate just about all of the currently-favored teams, leaving chaos in the human polls used to determine the championship game. (The human polls are a huge percentage of the BCS formula (66%?), with the computer formulas worth a smaller percentage.) It would also be interesting to see how many computers would agree on the Top 5 after that kind of carnage.
