PREVIEW FOR THURSDAY’S “iMPACT!” ON SPIKE TV – KNOCKOUTS MATCH TO PREVIEW BOUND FOR GLORY!

Plus, will Sting come for revenge on Judas Mesias?

By Bill Banks

This Thursday night, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling returns to SpikeTV at 9pm! The below is a preview of what you will see on the huge broadcast:

- After the brutal attack by Judas Mesias, will Sting arrive at “iMPACT!” looking to exact revenge on manager James Mitchell’s newest monster? Sting, Judas and Mitchell are all scheduled to appear on the broadcast – the question is, will all hell break loose?

- Also scheduled to appear this Thursday is TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle! What will happen between Angle and Sting as they prepare for their huge main event match at “Bound For Glory” on October 14? Also, will Karen Angle be in attendance – and will she obey Sting’s restraining order?

- In a preview of the match at Bound For Glory to crown the first TNA Women’s Champion, there will be a Knockouts Match with the winner earning the right to be the final entrant in the gauntlet bout at the Pay-Per-View! This Thursday night, it will be Christy Hemme vs. Ms. Brooks vs. Jackie Moore vs. Gail Kim vs. Roxxi Laveaux as the start of the women’s division officially kicks off!

- In tag team action this Thursday night, it will be Team 3D taking on the tandem of “The Guru” Sonjay Dutt and Shark Boy!

- Also in tag team action, it will be The Motor City Machineguns of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin facing off against big Lance Hoyt and TNA newcomer Jimmy Rave!

All this and much more this Thursday night on “iMPACT!” – including news on the October 14 “Bound For Glory” epic event!

Decent show. I especially liked The Women's 5 Way Match. A lot better than what the cookie cutter contests have been in The WWE Women's Division lately,IMO. A few messed up spots, but a really good effort alltogether.

Awful show. An endless promo video for Judas Mesias ends in him getting pumelled for 7 minutes and made to look like a job guy. HAHA.

Dudleys, bless their hearts, are the only thing that gets any reaction, but their matches aren't holding up at all.

Did Don West say "Firecrotch"? This is so much worse than 2000 WCW.

Also, Christian Cage looks sickly.

Firecrotch....oh lord. Does Christy Hemme really want to invite comparisons to the crackhead Lindsay Lohan?

The show was decent. Dudleys stuff was pretty amusing though bordering on overexposure. Stuff like Roxxie Laveaux is really horrid though....the chick looks like some glorified indie worker and she's going over actual serious women wrestlers like Jackie and Gail Kim.

When I saw Judas Macias attack Sting last week I immediately thought of the Vampiro feud. It didn't help that they had the Human Torch match on 24/7.

I think the Roxy stuff was actually passable. They are trying to make the battle royal wide open and for a women's match, it was actually pretty decent. I thought it would be horrible but it was actually a good match. As long as she doesn't do that stupid ass dance, she's ignorable. When she does that dance, my god does she come off as really stupid and lame.

I think the Judas thing was damage control since he's hurt and out for a good amount of time last time I heard.

I thought tonight's show was ok, the beginning had some good wrestling but one thing that pist me off was when the D-von and Ray were arguing about what happen with Sharkboy it was very hard to hear them, kinda like TNA turned down the sound a bit on them and turned it up on the crowd and West and Tenay, but there match was fun to watch none the less.

I usually like what they do with Sting in TNA, but I just saw him just lay down one helluva beating on Judas, and if I was a casual fan I would have written off Judas as a monster heel in all sense of the word. Sting beat him like he was a whore who didn't pay her pimp.

I enjoyed the show for the most part. On a total side note, alot of guys look like they are off the juice here, most noticably Hoyt and I swear to god, Dutt actually may have been on roids too, as he looks extremely different physically. How ironic would that be since Dutt on the juice was a running Kevin Nash joke.

The opener was just a simple comedy match. Nothing more nothing less.

Enjoyed the MCM match - they are one of the more over tag teams by far right now, and they looked good here. Rave also was given a chance to impress.

The Dud squash after the match will explain next week's title match.

I thought the womens match was way better than any womens match in WWE in years.

The ending angle/brawl was alright, nothing extremely impressive but it ended the show on somewhat of a more unpredictable note than a typical main event or something. Mesias did pretty much get punked in every sense of the word from both Sting and Abyss here though. Good he's taking a hiatus as following up on that beatdown might be hard unless he's gone for awhile to "regroup."

She IS a serious woman wrestler, Nikki Roxx, she main evented the last SHIMMER show. Blame TNA for sticking the dumbass Baby Shango gimmick on her.

Bullshit. Traci's awkward bump on the apron was her own doing. The way TNA puts its matches together, especially something like a brief TV match involving five women, it's all pretty heavily scripted ahead of time. Traci knew that move was coming ahead of time and agreed to it. Then when she took the move, she let go of the top rope too soon and caused her lower back to whack into the side of the ring. As for "killing" Gail, what the hell are you even talking about? The dominator at the end? 100% worked. Out of everyone Gail looked like the biggest danger in the match, some of her kicks looked mighty imprecise. (Well, except for Hemme being a danger to herself, that firecrotch legdrop made me wince in sympathy agony.)

Isn't that basically reaffirming cabbageboy's point? Shimmer is an indy fed. Which means she's an indy worker.

Which is exactly why TNA is in the position it's in, unfortunately.

They should probably make the Steiners their tag champs too.

Umm...most wrestlers start off as a indy wrestler. I don't see your point at all.

Exactly. I don't agree with cabbageboy's assessment of Nikki Roxx. If they build her up right, then I'm fine with her beating Gail Kim and Jackie. But cabbageboy was not entirely wrong in calling her an indie worker, because that's what she was. So my point was countering Jingus's point that main eventing an indy show made her a "serious" wrestler. To me a serious wrestler is someone who's built up properly by any company as someone who can beat anyone at any time. May it be a WWE castoff or a SHIMMER main eventer or even a backyard fed wrestler if they so desire.

Now you're talking about someone who isn't a serious character, in terms of how they've been portrayed or pushed. If that's what he meant, then I agree, the Voodoo Queen is a horrible character. I thought he meant that Nikki the employee wasn't really a professional wrestler, like Random WWE Diva #47.

Calling someone an 'indie worker' appears to be the catch-all term for someone deemed too green for prime-time, either in talent or look.

Yeah that term shouldn't be used in that sense at all.

I mostly am referring to her goofy voodoo chick gimmick, it's bush league and seems like something out of a low rent indie fed. Having her go over actual established women like Gail Kim or Jackie makes them look like a joke rather than making Roxxie look good.

Maybe it's just the gimmick, but I thought Roxx SUCKED in what was a fairly good match. I forgot how well Gail Kim could go. She and Traci need to be the stars of their women's division.

The tag match was really good, but I'd prefer 1. MCMG feud with LAX over the tag titles (fuck the Dudleys) and 2. Jimmy Rave was on his own.

The only thing about Roxxi winning the match is that it guarentees that she wont be winning the battle royal at bound for glory.

The MCMG match was great and I think Jimmy Rave and Lance Hoyt could work well as a tag team as long as they dont get the "we haven't got anything else for you" push.
