SWF ALL HALLOWS CARD

Recommended Posts

AllHallows.jpg

The SWF rolls on, but after losing its TV deal and half the roster not even bothering to turn up for the biggest show of the year, where do we go from here? Answer: California!

los_angeles_galen.jpg

Money is tight, so the venues are getting smaller because we don't have the cash to splash anymore without those lucrative advertising deals. Expect a slightly more intimate vibe - more of a TNA feel than the big-arena WWE style we've been used to. However, the surroundings may change but some things stay the same, and we've got some scores to be settled!

NOTE: Due to a prior commitment, Landon won't actually be in California for the show itself. Co-commissioner Megan Skye will therefore be in charge for the night. Please bear this in mind for any and all promos you might want to write, hint hint.

TAG TITLE MATCH
Revolution Zero© vs. Wild & Dangerous

It was an eventful Genesis for three of these men - Austin Sly missed his plane and so the scheduled match against Chris Raynor never took place, but Wildchild defeated The Fabulous Jakey to deprive Revolution Zero of the SWF World Cruiserweight Title and become the first five-time World Cruiserweight Champion in SWF history. El Luchadore Magnifico, the legendary five-time Light-Heavyweight Champion, was on hand to provide congratulations… but the Bahaman Bomber’s thunder was partially stolen later on in the night when Toxxic defeated Johnny Dangerous to become the first ever five-time SWF World Heavyweight Champion! The Dance of Titles continues tonight, as Wild & Dangerous try to recover the belts that they lost to Sly and Toxxic courtesy of a Demonstar Driver and the Shooting Sly Press and Johnny looks for some measure of revenge on the man who has ruined his October again…

Word Limit: 6000
Rules: Standard tag. With tag ropes, naturlich.

NEW BLOOD TITLE
Michael Alexander© vs. Leon Sharpe

The Mad Scientist Of The Mat beat off the challenge of Luke-O and succeeded in capturing the New Blood Title from Fulminatus at Genesis; the Dynamo of Destruction is taking an indefinite hiatus from in-ring action, but that doesn't mean that the challenges will stop for Alexander. No, tonight he goes head-to-head with the much larger Leon Sharpe. New Blood? Well, Sharpe never got bumped from the SJL so technically he’s an SWF rookie, and his press department have fought long and hard to get the name ‘Sharpe’ associated with ‘new blood’ in the minds of viewers and therefore voters. Meanwhile Alexander is aware that by the rules of the New Blood Title, if he successfully defends it three times he automatically gains a free title shot at whatever belt he may choose… even the World Title.

Word Limit: 5000
Rules: Standard singles

Tag Team Grudge Match
Chris Raynor and -TBA- vs. Tom Flesher and The Fabulous Jakey

As Commissioner of the SWF, Tom Flesher took great delight in using his power to play with the lives of his enemies. One of those most tormented was Chris Raynor. In going against Tom's wishes in his career path, Raynor earned Tom's wrath. And he paid for it numerous times. It was only after Tom had orchestrated a loss of the long-forgotten Stables Title to Revolution Zero that Raynor finally found a tag team partner to watch his back, Landon Maddix.

Unfortunately for Raynor, Landon is no longer in active SWF competition. Fortunately for Raynor, he's now Commissioner and has contacts. Thus, a new replacement partner will be found for the four-time World Tag Team Champion as he takes on two enemies; the orchestrator and one of the three 'executioners' if you will.

Word Limit: 5500
Rules: Standard tag match. TAG ROPES ARE NOT JUST FOR SHOW!
Send to: Muzz

NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH
Jay Hawke vs. ???

Jay Hawke's done a lot in his SWF career. He's ruled the International Title division, challenged for the World Title, been a part of a forgotten stable, championed his own match stipulation in the company. But has he ever faced The Question Mark Man!?

Well, probably. Let's face it, The QMM is one of the SWF's longest and richest traditions. And, as another wrestler comes into the SWF with his identity kept a secret from the world, the question is just who will it be this time and will he uphold the honour of QMMs of old, in a No Disqualifications Match no less? And how will Jay Hawke cope in a match that dis-advantages him not knowing who his opponent will even be?

Word Limit: 5000
Rules: No disqualifications. Pins must be in the ring though.
Send to: Mr. S£im Citrus

HALLOWE’EN HARDCORE
Dace Night vs. Insane Luchador

We had high hopes for these two in their respective matches at Genesis - hopes that were unfortunately dashed. Both men get a chance to redeem themselves here, but whose instinct for blood and violence will reign supreme?

Word limit: 4500
Rules: Both men must come in trick-or-treat gear - your choice as to what. Any and all weapons are allowed. Around the ringside area are a number of suitable props, including an apple bobbing tub (which might be useful for partial drowning), and anything else you can come up with. To win you must throw your opponent into the coffin that is positioned where the entrance ramp meets the ringside area and slam the lid shut.

$10,000 LADDER MATCH
JJ Johnson vs. Luke-O

Remember JJ Johnson? One of the standout rookies of 2005, he leapt to prominence and challenged for the World Title a couple of times. However, JJ became the poster child for the Heimlich Manouvre by choking again and again in the big time, instead of choking his opponent as he doubtless intended to.

JJ hasn’t been seen in these parts since early this year, but he’s back and with the same fire for competition as ever. Commissioner Maddix, a former teammate of JJ as well as a former opponent, has put him into a ladder match against newcomer Luke-O. A ladder match with a difference… will the rookie prevail, or will JJ get back into his winning ways and show the fed what he’s come to do?

Word limit: 4500
Rules: Hanging above the ring is a briefcase with (allegedly) $10,000 inside. That’s a tidy chunk of change, and a suitable motivating factor to climb up given that Maddix didn’t want to put either a title or a title shot at the top of the ladder, seeing as how JJ isn’t the most reliable person when it comes to turning up for subsequent shows. (KC- Ouch!) The first person to climb the ladder and unhook the briefcase gets the cash, simple as.

Christian Fury vs. Craig McLennan
Christian Fury gets the traditional welcome back - a warm-up against one of our old friends. Let's knock off some of that ringrust, shall we?

Word limit: 3500
Rules: Standard singles
Send to: King Cucaracha

EDIT: Main card complete! Anyone who may still want a match who isn't booked, PM me and we'll see what we can arrange.

For those who haven't started writing... what are you waiting for!? You have until next Wednesday, with the show to be up some time Thursday. Much as me and Toxxic would love to be up at 3 in the morning to mark and to post the show, that just isn't going to happen. This should go without saying obviously but PLEASE show up. Everybody on the card has given some sort of verbal commitment to us and the majority have had a good week already to have gotten yourself up for writing, so I'm hoping for great things for this one.

~THE SWF SMARKWIRE!~

The SWF to return to action October 31st; All Hallows!

With (some of) Genesis in the books, the SWF now looks ahead to a new future under it's new Commissioner, now former SWF competitor Landon "La Cucaracha" Maddix! And the new regime's first matter of business will be October 31st, from Los Angeles, California.

"What better time for the SWF to rise from the dead than Halloween?" the new Commissioner asked SWF.com. "And what better time to have a party? We're looking forward to getting underway and we're busy sorting out arrangements, talking to talent, assuring them of the way ahead. Tom Flesher's management technique left a lot to be desired. The SWF roster can trust me, there will be no bias from me. I've had a history with the majority of the wrestlers in my time in the company but I vow to be nothing but fair and impartial to all, no matter our past."

And while the new Commissioner won't be able to attend in person, his assistant co-commissioner Megan Skye will be on hand to make sure the show runs smoothly.

"Let's face it, she's the brains of the operation." admits Landon. "I'll be busy using the brawn elsewhere. But I'll be in regular contact with her throughout the night and I'll keeping up with who's pulling their weight and who isn't. There'll be no half-measures in my SWF. Sorry, our SWF. Edit that last bit out. :D "

Stay tuned to SWF.com for more updates on All Hallows!

First Match Announced For All Hallows; A re-Genesis?

The main-event for the SWF's upcoming All Hallows event has just been announced and it will feature the two men who battled it out in the main-event of Genesis VIII this past week. New SWF World Heavyweight Champion Toxxic will be defending his other piece of championship gold, the SWF World Tag Team Championship, alongside fellow Revolution Zero member Austin Sly. Their opponents? The five-time former SWF Tag Team Champions themselves, Wild and Dangerous! They had Five On It, now can they make it Six Of The Best?

Two More Matches Added To All Hallows!

The card for SWF All Hallows is beginning to shape up as two more matches have officially been announced by the Commissioner's Office this evening.

The first will see new New Blood Champion, "The Mad Scientist Of The Mat" Michael Alexander making his first defence of the rookies title. Knowing full-well that three successful defences of the title entitles you to a shot at whichever SWF championship you so choose, Alexander is keen to get the ball rolling. His opponent on October 31st will be Leon Sharpe, who has his eyes set on only one title at the moment, that being the New Blood.

And in the second, Halloween Hardcore will come to La La Land! In the rich tradition of the SWF, there just HAD to be some sort of crazy stipulation match on the All Hallows card. And Landon Maddix has not disappointed. With the Hardcore Gamers Championship dormant for the time being, two of the SWF's most hardcore will go at it with their pride and reputations at stake, as Dace Night faces The Insane Luchador!

$10,000 Up For Grabs!

Forget the bags full of candy, this Halloween it'll be a bag stuffed with ten thousand dollars up for grabs! After a reshuffling of the budget, Landon Maddix has stumbled upon some spare cash. The perfect reward for one lucky SWF superstar.

"Contract negotiations don't usually work out too handily for the company," mused Landon, "I know mind sure didn't! But let's just say, we had to evaluate certain gaps in the budget. And we found a place to cut some costs. No wonder we were losing so much money with those sort of 'Commissionership bonuses' being dealt out every month. Of course, he doesn't need it anymore, so..."

So, $10,000 dollars will be hung above the ring, with only one way to retrieve it... by climbing a Ladder! SWF newcomer Luke-O has impressed in his first few outings and will get a shot to not only make his accountant very happy but also make a big name for himself, against a returning face from the past. The lure of $10,000 has brought back JJ Johnson for All Hallows! Will Johnson walk away with the money or will Luke-O take his scalp and the cash?

A new beginning for the tag-team specialist

As the card for All Hallows begins to take shape, another name has been confirmed for the historic rebirth event in Los Angeles. Former four-time SWF World Tag Team Champion Chris "Caveman" Raynor will be action. And, fittingly, it will be in tag team action. His opponents and partner are as yet unknown to SWF.com, but SWF Commissioner Landon Maddix has made it known one of the SWF's finest will feel right at home with it's new regime.

"Myself and Chris were just beginning to form the makings of a great tag team," Landon told SWF.com, "but obviously now I'm out of in-ring action. That's kinda left Chris a little high and dry. I know Chris wants nothing more than another run at those World Tag Team Titles, not least because a certain Revolution Zero are currently holding them. And now, all the momentum he'd built up with me is for nought. So, I've promised... no, I've guaranteed him I'll make up for leaving him without a partner. I'm scouring the wrestling world to find him a new tag team partner and he will have one by Halloween night. It won't be Landon Maddix, but I can promise Chris, it'll be a Treat and not a Trick."

Bad puns aside, will this new partner be the man to help lead Chris Raynor to a fifth Tag Team Title with a fifth different second man?

Trick Or Treat for Jay Hawke?

What would Halloween be without a good suspence story? You know the drill, the beloved hero of the tale is walking down a narrow corridor of a destitute house, he hears a noise, approaches the door nervously, turns the knob and out pops... well, who knows? That's the point! If you know what's behind the door, what's there to be scared of?

Jay Hawke isn't exactly a beloved hero in any shape or form. But he will be facing a fear of the unexpected this Halloween, as he sees action at All Hallows. And to make matters all the worse, it'll be in a match with No Disqualifications. His opponent. ?. Not just '?', but the '? Man' himself! Yes, the old SWF favourite, The Question Mark Man, looms over Jay Hawke. But just who will the mystery man be? Will it be a face from the past back to haunt Hawke? Will it be an unknown demon with unknown powers? Are you sick of the Halloween analogies yet?

Yeah, me too. Hawke, QMM, No DQs.

-21/10-

Bad to worse for the former boss

As if losing the post of SWF Commissioner wasn't enough, Tom Flesher's immediate future in the SWF doesn't look all that happier. Not only has $10,000 of his prospective earnings as Commissioner been set aside as prize for a Ladder Match at All Hallows, now The Superior One is on alert that he will see in-ring action himself on October 31st! While Flesher was unable for comment as of press, according to sources close to him and his 'squeeze' Allison Onita, he's not looking forward to what the new Commissioner Landon Maddix might have in store for him.

New match added; the old and the new collide!

The new era of the SWF will be rung in on October 31st and will feature two stars of the past era with a storied past, joining forces with two members of the new generation. Chris Raynor had been promised tag team action at All Hallows and will see it. And better yet, he gets a shot at redemption against the man who made his SWF life miserable for the past couple of months, Tom Flesher!

Raynor's partner is still yet to be announced by SWF officials. But, under promise from new Commission Landon Maddix that he's found Raynor a suitable replacement for himself, The Caveman will go up against Flesher and his partner, Revolution Zero member and former Cruiserweight Champion The Fabulous Jakey! Regardless of who his partner may be, no doubt Chris Raynor will be looking forward to getting his hands on Flesher and showing him just what he really does has left to offer in his career, not to mention on The Fabulous Jakey who 'holds' one of Raynor's former Stables Title belts.

Another Halloween return

Just added to the All Hallows card, the return of two-time former Hardcore Gamers Champion Christian Fury! The wrestling bug has bit Fury again and he's returned, looking for an opportunity, which he'll get on October 31st. And with the status of the Hardcore Gamers Title currently in limbo, this could be the perfect time for the returned veteran to impress.

-27/10-

A golden opportunity?

SWF Commissioner Landon Maddix has confirmed that the SWF will return to action once more on November 14th... with a big main-event. The first World Heavyweight Title defence of the new SWF era, by new World Heavyweight Champion Toxxic no less, will take place at that event. All he needs is a challenger. And Commissioner Maddix has made it known to his new locker room, anyone and everyone is open to opportunity under his reign. An impressive performance at All Hallows could push anyone into the World Title picture. With that in mind, the stakes on October 31st have definately been raised.
