THE AMAZING RACE returns for its 12th season and is bigger than ever. This year the Race spans the globe from Ireland to Croatia and sets new Race Teams on an adventure of a lifetime. Traveling more than 50,000 miles and crossing multiple continents in 28 days, the Teams are in a fierce race to the finish first for a shot at the million dollar prize.

Surprise of the night: the goth team doing so well. They need to stop working "goth" into stuff, though ("oh my goth!").

I notice that the only all male team consists of a lanky pilot and an old dude. While there are 3 all-female teams.

So hot. So soon. The blondes are not nearly attractive or entertaining enough to have warranted so much screen time that could have been dedicated to the two sisters and their penchant for proper pronunciation. The grampa gettin jiggy with one of the two was tremendous.

Donald had a good episode - calling the sisters "hot, but a little bitchy", then saying he's going to "let it all hang out" 1 episode after pole-vaulting in his underwear (and supposedly buck-naked).

 

And Vyxsin looks like she's got a decent sized rack. Not sure how this escaped my notice.

That's what I was thinking -- I was expecting them to just stick the pole in the ground and start gyrating on it.

 

It was patently obvious about a half-hour in who was going home. They pushed way too hard with the whole "We can catch up, it's not over yet" edit.

 

The "crickets chirping" edit after the failed dances at the Detour was awesome, though.

To elaborate on what I said it genuinely made me want to see Kynt and Vyxsin take the whole thing because they were (at least on-camera) the only team who seemed to grasp what Africa is all about when you're a tourist aka one day will have you saying "Wow, so beautiful" with anything past that making you depressed beyond words and questioning your place on this earth.

I think Grandpa is starting to look like John Locke. Scary.

 

U-Turn? I like it better than the Yield.

 

The sibs better not be getting the Romber edit because aside from the Goths I'm rooting for them to win.

 

Vyxsin has a Jelena Jensen look about her. If Jensen were a pink-haired Goth, that is.

 

Sorry... was there something wrong with the pole dancing? Aside from it being as untraditional as can be?

Well, the Hollywood Blondes are gone, and I suppose you could call it Race Karma if you'd like, but the truth is that they weren't particularly good Racers and their elimination was gonna happen soon anyway.

 

Call me crazy, but Vyxsin looks better with the glasses.

 

And barring some bad luck, the F3 should probably be the siblings, Goths and that last couple. I don't know if I could handle Ronald winning the million.
