Oh I forgot about the first post I made up there. I was just responding to redbaron's broken video tags. I hope people don't get the impression that I spent 36 minutes in a futile attempt to post videos.

This thread isn't going to die!

When I was 11, I used to hear this on the radio a lot. I didn't know who performed it until I saw the video on MTV one day and I was like "Oh God, Celine Dion" because she did "Because You Loved Me" and I didn't like that song. So as disappointed as I was at the artist, I knew I liked the song so I was watching the video and HOLY FUCK THAT DUDE'S MOTORCYCLE JUST EXPLODED. At this point I decided that Celine Dion was awesome, but I never told my friends about this because at that sensitive age you don't want people calling you gay and this was years before I was able to rationalize it as "well, it's basically a Meat Loaf song, just with a woman singing it." Anyway, this song is amazing and sometimes when I listen to it I feel like I'm 11 again. That's right, it's all coming back to me.

I'm no longer afraid to admit that I knew this song was something special too.

It's funny because I had the same reaction to the song...I remember watching the video (I used to watch the Muchmusic Countdown every Friday afterschool) and thinking the motorcycle blowing up was awesome. How could you not continue watching the video after that? Plus it has ghosts and moving portraits and all sorts of crap. Good video.

Also from when I was 11, this was absolutely mind-blowing. Before Manson became the most overexposed dude in music in '97-'98, I thought this video was the coolest thing I had ever seen. In April/May '96, I used to watch MTV's 7:30 video countdown every night just to see this. That part where he goes "some of them want to be a-BUUUUUUUUUSED!" and the lead guitar comes in was an early transcendent musical experience for young SJK. Best cover ever. God, I wish 1996 never ended.

Guest blame that goot.
