BadApples v Kruz bros (#1 contendership for The CCWTag Team titles)

 

R-Cayde V Thatcher (non title match)

 

Rik Luxury v Virgil for the #1 contendership of the CCW Westside Title!

 

AND A CCW FIRST! CCW Heavyweight Champion, Vinnie The Innovator Massaro will defend his CCW Championship against the challenger, Big Ugly JD Bishop...

 

Each competitor can bring weapons to the ring, no DQ...

 

Loser must say "I Quit" on the house microphone!

 

Oh yea, Forgot to mention....

The show went really well. I don't have full results yet, so I'll post the results once CCW posts them up somewhere.

Here are the results from the CCW show.

 

Another great night of action started out the brand new year for CCW in 2008, with a packed house of 150 heating things up at the CCW Studios in Newman, CA!

 

The Sinner's Saints Mike Rayne and Bobby Harte vs Delta Company.

 

The first match featured the up and coming Sinner's Saints, captained by the Lost Soul Mike Rayne and his bullying brother in arms, Bobby Harte. Rayne got on the mic and berated his opponents, the camo-clad rookies known as the Delta Company! He again sounded like a converted preacher telling everyone about their sins and that the Delta Company would have to suffer for them-- and suffer they did! Rayne used his aerial tactics and high leg kicks combined with the crushing brawn and bruising style of Harte to serious effect! Rayne and Harte showed a religious relentlessness as they finished the Delta Company off with a fireman's carry-leap off the top rope by Rayne! The Sinner's Saints are showing that they are definitely a force to be reckoned with in CCW!

 

Winner: The Sinner's Saints

 

Rik Luxury vs Virgil Flynn, winner becomes the #1 contender for the Westside Championship.

 

The next match featured the two former CCW Westside Champions, Virgil Flynn and Wrestling Personified Rik Luxury in a #1 contender's match for the Westside Title, currently held by R-Cayde! Intensity was on the side of Virgil while the power side of things rested on Luxury's shoulders. A noticably agitated Buddy fumed at ringside on the mic with JJ Purdom, and the audience could tell something was brewing. Buddy suddenly got up on the ring apron and started arguing with Ref Toby, while Rik had reversed a top rope splash by Virgil! Instead of getting the pin, Buddy had actually distracted Toby from getting the count for Rik! Virgil took advantage of the Syndicate's confusion to roll up Rik into a small package and get the win- therefore slating him as the #1 conteder to the Westside title next month in Newman!

 

Winner and new #1 contender: Virgil Flynn

 

Hammerhead Drake w/ R-Cayde and Cheerleader Jenna vs Mother Truckin Otis

 

The following match featured two of CCW's biggest men, Hammerhead Drake versus Mother Truckin Otis! Otis may have changed theme music (much to this author's dismay- I always enjoyed the strains of "Smokey and the Bandit's Theme" for the Big man from Memphis!) but he still has ALL the same fans! Hammerhead was joined by his Clique of Cheerleader Jenna and Westside Champion R-Cayde... However the added personnel seemed to be more of a distraction to Drake than a help, while the wily ring vet Otis was able to take advantage. After giving Drake the "dipstick check" and causing Drake great posterior pain, Otis had things going his way! Otis was able to flatten Drake with his "Gotter Dun" despite the distractions outside the ring and get the big win!

 

Winner: Mother Truckin Otis.

 

CCW Westside Champion R-cayde vs The British Messiah Timothy Thatcher (non-title Match)

 

R-Cayde then returned to the ring to defend himself against the increasingly popular Brit, Timothy Thatcher. While this was not a title match, there was much as far as reputation on the line for both of these proud competitors! Thatcher wasted no time attacking the arm of R-Cayde, as he is known for his ability to focus on a single body part....R-Cayde returned the favor with moves such as his brutal rubik's cube submission hold and his game over modified DDT drop! However, the added distraction of a now-fuming Drake at ringside was more than R-Cayde could focus on, and Drake actually wound up distracting R-Cayde enough to allow Thatcher the quick rollup on Cayde for the big victory! Thatcher grabbed the belt and proclaimed that it should be his even though it was a non title match-- and the fans agreed with him!

 

Winner: Timothy Thatcher

 

The Badapples vs The Kruze Brothers winner becomes the #1 contender for the CCW Tag Titles.

 

Before the big title match, the fans were treated to some solid tag-team action with the BadApples facing the popular Businessmen, The Kruz Brothers! Beto and Jesus showed that they are serious about contending for the #1 spot for the Tag Team titles against the current champs, the Reno Scum, by taking the battle right to the tough twins! The BadApples fought back on Beto and Jesus, nailing them with clotheslines, body blocks and stomping them while they were down. The competitors even used the walls of the yet-to-be-assembled cage against each other as the match went outside the ring and onto the floor! With all the wildness going on, Buddy and Rik came out to ringside in order to distract Ref Byron Pennyworth from being able to do his job-- and this time, just like earlier, it cost his team the match-- this time the Ref missing the BadApple's ATM move and also the bashing on the back of the head of DD by Beto Kruz with a hubcap! After the loss Rik said he had had it with Buddy, and after making him kiss his boots in the ring, he said that he quit on the Syndicate, much to the fan's delight!

 

Winners and new #1 tag team titles, The Kruze Brothers

 

The Main Event, for the CCW Championship, The Big Ugly JD Bishop vs The Champion Vinnie Massaro

 

After a 20 minute intermission while the dedicated ring crew of CCW put together the cage, the big match that everyone was waiting for occurred-- Vinnie vs Big Ugly in an I QUIT MATCH in the cage, with each competitor bringing a weapon... Big Ugly of course brought his dreaded 2X4 wrapped in barbed wire, the "ugly stick", while Vinnie brought a bag filled...With something... As Buddy Sotello looked on the outside helpless, his sole champion Vinnie faced his former best friend Big Ugly for the most coveted title in California Wrestling! Vinnie and Ugly wasted no time attacking each other, even forgetting at times that it was an I Quit match and going for the pin out of instinct! It wasn't too long before the ugly stick got involved and soon Big Ugly was looking his monicker as he was cut and a bloody mess from the action in the cage! Vinnie also started getting worked over by Ugly who tossed Vinnie out of the cage, and then dropkicked the door right into Vinnie's face! As the fans chanted, Ugly threw Vinnie repeatedly into the steel doors of the CCW studios, then back into the cage. However, thanks to a low blow on Ugly, Vinnie got the upper hand...And then he brought out his own weapon, the dreaded THUMBTACKS! Soon they were scattered all over the ring, and Vinnie pushed Ugly up to the top rope where he clearly intended to slam him onto the tacks...However, Big Ugly reversed the slam and instead dropped Vinnie's wide back onto the many sharp implements spread out below... Quickly seizing the advantage, Ugly grabbed his own ugly stick and started raking it across the now-weakened champion-- and for the first time EVER in Vinnie's decade plus time as a wrestler, he grabbed the mic and uttered the now famous words, "I QUIT"! Ugly has become the NEW CCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION-- Congratulations Big Ugly! Ugly called all the kids into the ring (after picking up the thumbtacks of course!) and the children booed a tearful Buddy away from ringside while celebrating the hard-fought victory for their popular new champion!
