New Theme Music

I've been sitting here laughing about that Test theme interpretation...

That's just gold.

i think that Stevie's/Kronik's song is an instrumental version of Static-X's "Love DUmp"

I love Lance and all... but I swear he needs a new theme. His current one sounds like a washing machine.

If they're going w/ Team Canada idea.. "O Canada" would be good...

If they're going not going w/ Team Canada idea, I enjoyed his WCW theme before he started Team Canada.

Kidman needs to go back to his old music, and Storm needs new music. I swear sometimes they try and make them generic as possible so you have no clue who is coming out. I've always thought thay they should put a thunder clap before Storm's music hit, that would at least make his music somewhat different.

Also, today I heard "Come Out and Play" on the radio. I doubt the WWE would do it, but that was a cool theme for Raven.

Hardcore Holly could use new music.

Knoble could come out to fiddle music.

I don't particularly like RVD's theme music. If he ever gets a main event push, I am holding out they would pay the bucks to use "Walk" by Pantera, but that is probobaly just a pipedream.

I like Rock's older version of his theme, that started out, "Do you smell....." as opposed to the "If ya smeeeeeeeeellllllll" but I guess the current one fits the face character better.

The Hardys theme needs to go, but then again I think I just hate the dancing from Jeff Hardy, so unless he stops the awful seizure like dancing, then no theme will help.

Vince could use a new theme, since his theme was based upon a storyline from a few years ago.

That is all I can think of for now...

Brock needs some death metal to come out to. "I will kill you" by Cannibal Corpse or something. Angle's music is the shit. I hated that remix of it. Besides, the crowd chants along with it, changing it would be stupid. I dig Taker's new music too. Much much better than Lame Bizkit. Christian's is probably my favorite music in the WWE other than Flair's.

Entrance themes about 3 or 4 years ago in the then-WWF really got the job done. When the music hit, you KNEW who was coming out. WCW themes for the most part always struck me as generic. With the exception of a few, I would hear the music and be like "who is this?"

I really liked the Kidman WCW theme. Why they got rid of it for something stupid and generic like what he has now is beyond me.

I think Jericho's entrance now is great. Rather than just standing there "holding the pose" when the lights come up, he does that dickish slow motion move to get into the arms-stretched out, back to the crowd pose. Fits his character so well.

"Latino Heat" is tremendous. So is the Hurricane theme.

Basically, to me, if you have a song that meshes with your character and is pretty distinctive, then its doing its job.

Also, I'm surprised Vince never came out to the Forceable Entry version of "No Chance." Would've been one more way to get the ads for the album on the screen, plus it would've been an logical tweak to his theme.

And for god's sake, I wish they'd stop putting the wrestlers' catchphrases before their music starts. You know it's getting old when Hardcore Holly gets that kind of treatment.

I totally agree with that one. It worked for the Rock, and it worked for Booker T.

The one that really got me was Ric Flair... you don't need the Whoooooo... everyone knows who it is. Period.

And besides, evreyone in the audience Whoos when they hear it anyway.

Hulk Hogan needs to use Real American at KoTR against Angle. That's what the feud should have been about. Who's the real american hero, not "Who gets the wig and Rick Steiner headgear."

  Hardcore has a catchphrase? WTF?

Yeah, Hardcore Holly's catchphrase is "How do you like me now?". I think they got it from a song by that country singer guy who was on NWA's ppv last night.

As far as I know, it's taken from Kool Moe Dee (80s rap artist), and it's more like " How ya like me now?" Of course, Holly's a white guy from Alabama, so the country song origin might hold more weight, depending on when he used it.

Razor... I totally got a Dog-faced Gremlin vibe whenever they showed Kurt from behind. Eerie...

RVD's music is cool. I'd like it better without the actual verse singing, but oh well.

Eddie Guerrero REALLY needs new music. That slimy "Latiiinoo Heeeeat" and the following "Latiiiinooo Heat." chanting are REALLY annoying.

Benoit needs the old "Shooter" back, because the new one isn't too good.

I always thought Vince's theme was good, even if "No Chance In Hell" is so four years ago.

I wonder if Shane will keep "Here Comes The Money" if/when he comes back - that fit him so well.

That was probably the best song that the WWE has come up with for any character/wrestler in a long time. I had never heard the whole song until I listened to it making a created character on WM X8.

Candidates for new music:

Test

Storm

Bradshaw

Faarooq (ok, let one guy, probably Bradshaw, keep the APA theme...the other guy should get his own, distinguishable theme)

Al Snow (no more Head theme)

Noble (wasn't too fond of his last night)

Kidman

Val (actuallly he needs a whole new gimmick, but that's another thread...)

Has The Godfather changed his since going legit? I (luckily) haven't seen him on TV since, either by missing the weekend shows, or just by not caring, since it's The Godfather

Speaking of themes with the catchphrase, Faarooq has "I'll be damned" at the beginning of the APA theme when he comes out now.

Noble (where did that K go? Oh yeah - gotta WWF/E-ize him) needs some country song. Or Bubba Sparks. That would probably work.

I don't know why they changed Kidman's music - the beginning part rocked. Same with Storm. I hope the give Storm the Canadian National Anthem that he used in WCW.

Brock needs some heavy metal music.

I don't like the remix Jericho is using right now, but I love the ring entrance...one of the best entrance videos in the WWE, the slow arrogant raise of each arm in the air and his stupid little twirl all portray the character well. Though the slow arm raise worked better with the WWF and WCW titles in each hand.

Test's new music isn't too bad, but either dump all of the old song (this is the test) or just leave him with the old one, which worked better.

Vince's Forceable Entry track rocked, but I don't think he'll ever use it.

I liked the Aggression version of Big Show's theme (forgot who it was done by).

Eddy should steal his old music back from Chavo. He's not doing it justice.

Hatebreed - Before Dishonour would be awesome from Brock Lesnar.

The worst music ever was back in 99. Right after HHH turned heel, he had a theme before "My Time". Worst. Theme. Ever. I thought friggin' Mike Enos was coming out.

If the WWF was smart, they would pick up "Walk". Can you imagine 20,000 (heh) people singing along?

*marks out*

Personally, I'd like to line up each and every last member of the WWE production team and shoot them one by one, cuz they've been coming up with some stupid shit lately. I mean, it started with the remix of Test's music (mixing the Volume 4 theme with the bullshit he has now), and that sounded like shit. So they go and do it again with the Big Show, mixing the his old them with the nWo theme...and that sounds like shit. And like everybody mentioned, the adding of catchphrases to every theme song.Flair certainly doesn't need it. Hardcore Holly...maybe if he got a new catchphrase. I haven't heard Faarooq's remix, but he deserves to be pistol whipped anyway...

As for who needs new themes...The Rock, Rikishi, Bubba Ray, Brock, the Hardyz, and anyone else with the generic bullshit.

Lance Storm had some great music in WCW, and when he first came out to the ring in the WWF... I was dissapointed.

Actually, alot of the WCW music was alright, like Kanyon's, and Bishoff's too.

Count me as another vote for Eddy getting his WCW music back. Either that, or maybe Razor's old music; for some reason, I think he could make it work.

I can see Jamie "By GAWD" Noble coming out to a remix of Hillbilly Jim/Godwinn's theme, or perhaps the Southern Justice/Jarrett/Debra theme.

Is there any truth to the rumor that the current RAW theme was, at one point, intended to be Test's theme music?

You know what really annoys me? The WWF was going to get Type O Negative to re-record Kane's theme song. For those of you who don't know about Type O, they are the greatest gothadelic metal band from America. Great creepy goth band + song about a guy who was almost burnt to death = HOT!!! Kane's theme song was slow and plodding, and everything by Type O is slow deep and hard ... that's also the name of one of their albums, but I'm not gonna go there.

what do they do? They get a rockish band Finger 11 to redo the song....sheer crap. Luckily Kane's away and you can only get the F11 version at the Best buy store, so that means i don't have to hear it!

I'm done. I think I'm going to go away now.
