Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted June 22, 2002 I still say the best music right now is HHH's, but that's only because Lemmy is God. Type O Negative doing Kane's theme would own SO much. As for Brock Lesnar...I think Beyond The Embrace would write a killer tune for him. For those who don't know of Beyond The Embrace, their a metal band out of Boston that has a thrash/death style with TONS of melody to it, and are comparable to Shadows Fall (another Boston-based thrash band). The ideal song for Lesnar would start off slow, then get melodic, then CRASH!!!!! in with loud and fast and heavy guitars, then screamed vocals. Of course, knowing Vince, this means "hey, I'll pay Slipknot to write Lesnar's theme, because Slipknot is K3\/\/L!" I fucking hate Vince McMahon.
Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted June 23, 2002 I heard the Type O Negative rumor too...did they actually record the song? Other rumors I remember reading about theme music... Limp Biskit was supposed to do an Undertaker theme...a special one, not Rollin. Test was supposed to get a Slayer theme. Hardyz were getting a Saliva theme...guess someone mixed something up somewhere cause the Dudleys got a Saliva theme. X-Pac was supposed to get Disturbed's "Down With The Sickness", or Saliva's "Your Disease". THANK GOD that little puke got neither...instead he got Uncle Kracker. Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted June 23, 2002 Test was originally going to get Slayer's "Warzone," which can be found on the album God Hates Us All, but Vince heard it and said, and I paraphrase almost as an exact quote, "that's too heavy to be an entrance theme." Heh...guess that means Vince hasn't heard many of the bands his fanbase ACTUALLY listens to, does he?
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted June 23, 2002 Yep, he must think we listen to Limp Bizkit and Nickelback religiously....
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted June 23, 2002 I think the Hurricane should get better music and he should also cultivate a Superman-like curl. The Rock's music sucks because of those crappy drums they added to it last summer. Hardcore Holly's music sucks because they added a crappy catchphrase at the beginning. I generally don't like any of the crappy metal songs that they have. If the WWF songwriter was great at making that kind of music, he would be doing that instead of working for the WWF. I think he should leave it to the pros and try to come up with songs that don't sound so bland. Ric Flair's music sucks. It sounds like it was done on a keyboard instead of being performed by an orchestra. I don't like having a catchphrase at the beginning of it either. It worked for Booker T and the Rock, but that's about it. Booker T's music isn't really that great and his vocals are the only thing saving that song. Undertaker's song is horrendous. Billy and Chuck have a crappy song. All of the women except Lita have crappy songs.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted June 23, 2002 Hardcore Holly's music sucks because they added a crappy catchphrase at the beginning.. And it's very repitive. Of course, I noticed the WWF doesn't bother to make themes last as long as they did back in 98. Listen to Kane's theme sometime. The notes don't change much, but it goes on for a long time before it reaches the end point and would have to loop to the beginning. I generally don't like any of the crappy metal songs that they have. If the WWF songwriter was great at making that kind of music, he would be doing that instead of working for the WWF. I think he should leave it to the pros and try to come up with songs that don't sound so bland. I think Tazz's old music is better than his current music, but okay... Ric Flair's music sucks. It sounds like it was done on a keyboard instead of being performed by an orchestra. I don't like having a catchphrase at the beginning of it either. It worked for Booker T and the Rock, but that's about it.Actually, I think it works for Flair and Rock, but doesn't work anybody else. Especially Undertaker. Booker T's music isn't really that great and his vocals are the only thing saving that song.I just like it because it's a WCW leftover. Everytime a gimmick, feud, alliance, or even a song from WCW dies away, so does a little bit of history. =b Billy and Chuck have a crappy song. You realize it's supposed to be like that, right?
