Guest Nitro 24/7 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Why was World Class only 29 mins this week?
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 I wondered that as well, maybe there was a TV Special on in Dallas that cut the show to 30m that week?
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Oh, man, that Iceman King Parsons video was great. Hauling around ice blocks, "breaking" them with punches and his ass (!), quite the laugh fest.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 They have a new show up now. The thing that blows my mind while watching these shows is how little they even try to protect the Freebirds in the booking. We saw Hayes job out in a singles match in a previous show, while on this show Buddy Roberts loses in about 20 seconds to Iceman King Parsons. In fact I don't recall them getting any wins over the Von Erichs since the feud began, unless maybe Gordy beat one of them.
Darth Pipes 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 Thought the Flair/Gordy match was good (Sunshine really smacked Flair hard) and it was interesting to see early Shawn Michaels or "Sean Michael."
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 You know if you watch this WCCW show it's hard to fathom that 23 years later the rookie jobber Sean Michael would end up one of the biggest stars in the business and would in fact retire the man who was the world champion. Darth Pipes 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 Good point. It's funny how things can develop from the past.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 I liked how the ring announcer called him "Sean Mickels", with Shawn then giving a subtle "whuh?" face.
