Timmy8271 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 3/14 results: 1) Roderick Strong defeats Pelle Primeau-i JUST arrived at this point. i barley made it. this first match had a crap load of heat being first. roderick being the hell out of him. it was good RANDY "THE RAM" ROBINSON (Mickey Rourke) vs. THE AYATOLLAH (Ernest Miller)- HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD THIS WAS AWESOME~! they filmed the entire match. cat came out to lame middle east music, Rourke came out to SWEET CHILD OF MINE!!! all 80's out. it was awesome. they had a pretty cool match all things considered. and.....oh man......The CLIMAX of the entire night at that point was the finish. Mickey Rourke went to the top. for NO reason whatsoever"Sweet Child of Mine" started playing. we thought the match was over. oh no. Mickey Rourke went to the top. and SLOWLY BEGAN CLIMBING THE ROPES IN EVERY AWESOME CLICHED FINAL MONTAGE EVER!!! HE SLOWLY GOT TO HIS FEET....HE SLOWLY REALIZED HIS DESTINY. HE HIT A BIG SPLASH. 1....2....3. We popped like we just won the super bowl. it smurfing ruled. 2) Claudio Castagnoli defeats Erick Stevens, Nigel McGuinness, and BJ Whitmer- this match for some reason did not have as much heat as you'd think. but Nigel was getting booed out the building, wore the belt backwards and just ripped into the fans the whole time. it was awesome. when Claudio hit the Riccola Bomb, it was out of NOWHERE. and everyone freaked when he beat nigel with it. More Filming took place....this is where the show came to a CRASHING Hault. Acutally i'm wrong. this was ok. they redid a few scenes, nothing big. 3) Delirious defeats Necro Butcher- this match....was werid. not a ton of heat. but than we realized......people had left.....THE EXTRA'S WERE GONE. so this match did not get crazy cheers. and it was werid. delirious won, we were happy? MORE FILMING.....this was brutal. we had to redo a different angle. it was ok, but long 4) Austin Aries & Bryan Danielson defeat Ruckus and Jigsaw- this match was also werid. the crowd was almost dead. Because they had ALL left. a lot of extra's left. and all of the focus came on EDDIE KINGSTON (who i never seen before, and he looked like the scariest dude in the world) and was just smurfing with ruckus the whole time. so everyone was so lost if this was and angle or shoot or something. so all of the attention went from the ring to kingston. after the match ended, you could hear kingston yelling "PHILADELPHIA!" so watch for something at the ppv taping OH MAN, THIS ROUND OF TAPING.....this was when life sucked. the redid this one scene maybe 5 times. and wehad to keep cheering slowly and slowly the cheers were not as loud me and my crew moved up, we got the seats that were left from the seat fillers. Go Shiozaki defeats Brent Albright- no heat at this point. the filming killed this whole match. everybody was burned out from the redo's after redo's. they popped for the moonsault finish. Larry Sweeney came out and was AWESOME, and albright kinda did a faceish move and said he didn't mess with scumbags, when sweeny was recruiting. Sweeney was wearing a PURE WHITE SUIT. it was awesome. More filming, Nobody cared at this point, but they said Ok guys, your two main events are up next. so everyone was stoaked KEVIN STEEN DEFEATED DAVEY RICHARDS in Match of the night- this is when the fans started to get BACK into it. cause at this point only the hardcores were left, and steen was over like a million bucks. stiffed the crap outta each other. steen won with a package piledriver. he cut an awesome promo about him being a champ in one way......and in the highllight of MY night....i started a "Future Champ" chant, and the whole buidling began chanting it. steen looked stoaked. than they lied to us.......MORE FILMING, by this point nobody gave a smurf. so we did what they asked, they threw free t-shirts. we all died inside. Tyler Black & Joey Matthews defeat Jay & Mark Briscoe- man talking about the fans trying to really get into this after being told to chant "holy crap" 5 times. we tried. we failed. Good match though
Hawkius Maximus 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 If ROH put the title on Go Shiozaki, I'd be a fan forever. Kobashi 2.0 needs his breakout badly.
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 From another board: Reports declare more people are there than for Misawa. Take that for what you will. PPV is called TAKE NO PRISONERS (first person to make the obligatory no buys joke wins the thread) 1) Davey Richards d. Dingo by submission with a kimura 2) Sara Del Rey d. Kylie Pierce after kicking her in the head. Went under a minute. 3) Tyler Black d. Delirious, Claudio and Shiosaki by pinning Delirious with a Pheonix Splash. Black goes on to the main event to challenge Nigel for the title. Also in the biggest news of the show Black finally has some music, instead of that stupid bint screaming. 4) Kevin Steen d. Roderick Strong by pinfall after a package piledriver 5) Jigsaw and Ruckus d. Adam Pearce and BJ Whitmer after Jiggy rolled up Whitmer. Post match Kingston just jumped Jigsaw and a pull apart brawl occured. Ruckus stood to the side, shaking his head. Sabian and Joker are in the house, however the fans didn't know who they were so the angle didn't really get over. ROH fans are too smarky and not smarky enough. STOP PRESS: Turns out it could have been Robbie Minero and not Joker that accompanied Kingston. Huge difference I know. During the pull apart, AOTF, Daizee Haze, Lacey, and Briscoes battled out from the back, leading to... 6) Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe d. Joey Matthews and Necro Butcher when Jay hits a J-Driller on Joey, while Mark hits a splash off a scaffolding onto Necro through a table. One of those matches where they spend most of the match in the corwd so the majority of fans don't know what's going on and neither do the DVD viewers because they don't light the crowd. Mark fucked up the side of his face and was bleeding buckets, but soldiered on. INTERMISSION 7) Bushwacker Luke d. Shane Hagadorn via pinfall after a DDT, performed while Shane's feet were draped across the top rope. Crowd wasn't into it apparently. The Sweeney Show is now up. Sweeney calls out the Hangmen 3, and the decision is made for the factions to merge. Then Erick Stevens comes out, and demands a match with Daniel Puder. Sweeney negotiates, and we get... 8) Brent Albright d. Erick Stevens via pinfall when Sweeney distracts Erick, leading to a half-nelson suplex. Also bad boy BJ decides he would rather not be part of the superstable and gets beaten down. Albright does not participate in said beating. Hangmen 3 are dead, long live SnS Inc. 9) Bryan Danielson d. Austin Aries via submission with a seated fujiwara armbar. Said be very good. I know, you're shocked. Aries turned down Danielson's handshake post match, so apparently they've remembered about that storyline. 10) ROH World Title: Nigel McGuinness d. Tyler 'The Main Event' Black via submission with THE ARM SUBMISSION. According to reports they did a really good job of drawing the crowd into the match. Nigel hit Tyler with a chair, earning Black some big babyface support. Black survives all Nigels bombs even kicking out of a Jawbreaker lariat. Nigel kicked out of Tyler signature moves too. Apparently it was great live, but I wonder if it will come across well on PPV. Lots of kick outs scream overkill to me. Still Tyler was mega over so a star could have been made. Cue him jobbing out to Brent Albright next month.
