We have over 5100 registered users. That's neighborhood of 500 users per moderator!

 

Most large communities run with smaller ratios than that.

Most large communities purge old users at least once in its history.

 

We'll be very gracious and say 200 of them are "current users". If anyone knows about this, it's me.

 

So, at least 10% of the userbase here have power. That's a lot!

 

The fact that you're really missing here is that it's their dime. If I owned the place, I'd choose my own moderator staff just as every other owner has done. Were you to financially take the reigns, you'd do the same.

Thanks for the kind word(s), Leelee, but just to clarify, Kahran Ramsus had barely logged in to TSM over the past year and in fact hadn't even accessed the Admin Control Panel since October last year. To do pretty much anything a super-mod can do, you need to log in to the Admin CP, and it records who and when accesses it. KR may not even realize the difference between being a mod and not.

The networks can't force people to follow a particular team. The ratings are always going to be lower when a team from a smaller market is involved, because that team will necessarily have fewer fans. With a few exceptions, baseball is very much a regional game.
