fazzle 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 I can. Street Kings was HORRIBLY advertised. I think I only saw 1 or 2 commercials for it. (internet banner ads were all over the fucking place, but I think it's been well established by now that net ads don't do a DAMN thing for a movie)
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 I can't believe Prom Night outdid Street Kings. Why? Horror remakes generally open well, with Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Aminityville Horror and When a Stranger Calls all opening to at least 20 million. Prom Night also opened when the marketplace had no movies out there for the teen crowd, with 21 entering into its third week. It also had an accessible PG-13 rating. Movies like Street Kings generally open in that range. Boxofficeguru used 16 Blocks as an example, which had a similiar opening. The box office is just dead right now basically. Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 I know horror movies with the PG13 ratings do better...but they usually suck
