Sorry I made my pick while at work and forgot to send a PM.

No problem man. I didn't even know you had picked yet. I must have overlooked it.

Looks like this is the round where everyone goes O-line crazy.

Yep. We ran into one of those runs were people were worried that the stud tackles would soon be gone. Slater was on my mind, but I went with the more important side. Now I have Walter blocking for Walter.

Hmmm...Doesn't seem to have been a lot of action since I was gone. How long before I get to pick again?

With my 5th Round Selection, Gert's team selects:

Herb Adderley/CB

Probably the best CB behind Deion, Night Train & Blount.

CB Champ Bailey

I missed out on Adderley by one pick, so I am going with a guy that I was thinking about for a long time as well. Shutdown corners are one of the scarcest resources in the history of the league, so I am making sure I get the only guy currently playing that fits that bill. He could retire tomorrow and he would still go down as one of the greatest corners in the history of the league and he's not even 30. Quarterbacks don't even throw in his direction anymore.

* 1998 Nagurski Award

* 4x All-Pro selection (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007)

* Tied with 4 other players for NFL interception touchdowns in 2005

* Led NFL in interception yards in 2006

* Tied with Asante Samuel for NFL interceptions in 2006

Also I couldn't access the site from 1:00 pm until 5:30. (Anybody else have that problem?)

Sorry about the hold-up.

I couldn't access it at lunch, but I could get back on during my next break around 2ish.

Just got off work... Ready to make my picks now.

You probably didn't miss much since you already had Night Train Lane.

I figured Pace wouldn't be too far behind Roaf & Jones.

I was thinking the same thing...I believe that makes 7 O-linemen drafted in the 4th round alone.

Regarding Irvin, I think many people are hesistant to draft a WR early, even one of that caliber.

I'm pretty sure I can make my pick now. My next pick was an All-Pro on both sides of the ball, although better known for defense which is where I'm picking him, and was an NWA and AWA tag team champion.

I'm confused about the draft order...I think it's my pick. Anyways...I need a good corner and since there arn't too many greats left I'm gonna get my Hall of Famer.

This draft is going to be a failure if we don't PM the next person guys.

He did make it:

Willie_Brown1-1.jpg

Willie Brown, CB

9x Pro Bowl (1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973)

NFL 1970s All-Decade Team

AFL All-Time Team

54 career INTs (Raiders all-time leader in INT - 39)

Super Bowl XI champion

2nd longest INT return for TD in Super Bowl history (75 yards)

First-ballot Hall of Famer (1984)

With the run on corners, I'm amazed he was still available. I had him as one of the 3 greatest corners ever, maybe the best.

Hate to pick an Irish, but I need to make sure I get a top receiver before they're all stolen. Sorry to be a dick, but of all the receivers not to be taken, this one's still out there! Fuck.

Well, I looked though some names and saw a lot of great players but no one I absolutely couldn't live without. So, I might as well grab the greatest coach of all time.

Vince Lombardi

105-35-6 Career Total Record (9-1 postseason)
