Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 Looks like this is the round where everyone goes O-line crazy. Yep. We ran into one of those runs were people were worried that the stud tackles would soon be gone. Slater was on my mind, but I went with the more important side. Now I have Walter blocking for Walter. Hmmm...Doesn't seem to have been a lot of action since I was gone. How long before I get to pick again?
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 With the eight-hour time limit, I think you're up now.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 So Gert's time is up too? Actually, he's here so I don't know why he's not picking.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 With my 5th Round Selection, Gert's team selects: Herb Adderley/CB Probably the best CB behind Deion, Night Train & Blount.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 Okay. Good. I didn't want to steal your pick while you were actually here to make it. I just hope you don't take the guy I want. EDIT: Goddammit!
Gert T 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 No way! (About Adderley) Sorry man, I didn't know what the rules were since Vic had two picks. Sorry to hold things up.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 Yep, it was Adderley I was about to pick. Time for my back up.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 Also I couldn't access the site from 1:00 pm until 5:30. (Anybody else have that problem?) Sorry about the hold-up.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 CB Champ Bailey I missed out on Adderley by one pick, so I am going with a guy that I was thinking about for a long time as well. Shutdown corners are one of the scarcest resources in the history of the league, so I am making sure I get the only guy currently playing that fits that bill. He could retire tomorrow and he would still go down as one of the greatest corners in the history of the league and he's not even 30. Quarterbacks don't even throw in his direction anymore. * 1998 Nagurski Award * 8x Pro Bowl selection (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) * 4x All-Pro selection (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) * Tied with 4 other players for NFL interception touchdowns in 2005 * Led NFL in interception yards in 2006 * Tied with Asante Samuel for NFL interceptions in 2006
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 JESUS H. CHRIST. I thought I'd easily get Bailey this round.

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 Also I couldn't access the site from 1:00 pm until 5:30. (Anybody else have that problem?) Sorry about the hold-up. I couldn't access it at lunch, but I could get back on during my next break around 2ish. Just got off work... Ready to make my picks now. You probably didn't miss much since you already had Night Train Lane.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 Orlando Pace, OT 7x Pro Bowl selection (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005) 6x All-Pro selection (1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005) Super Bowl champion (XXXIV) 2x Lombardi Award winner (1995, 1996) Outland Trophy (1996) Michael Irvin, WR 5x Pro Bowl selection (1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995) 3x All-Pro selection (1991, 1992, 1993) 3x Super Bowl champion (XXVII, XXVIII, XXX) NFL 1990s All-Decade Team 1992 Pro Bowl MVP Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor Led NFL in receiving yards in 1991 with 1523
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 I figured Pace wouldn't be too far behind Roaf & Jones.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 I am kinda suprised Michael Irvin dropped this far...
MFer 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 I figured Pace wouldn't be too far behind Roaf & Jones. I was thinking the same thing...I believe that makes 7 O-linemen drafted in the 4th round alone. Regarding Irvin, I think many people are hesistant to draft a WR early, even one of that caliber.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 Its about time for another pick.
Bored 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 I'm pretty sure I can make my pick now. My next pick was an All-Pro on both sides of the ball, although better known for defense which is where I'm picking him, and was an NWA and AWA tag team champion. Leo Nomellini, Defensive Tackle San Francisco 49ers 1950-1963 Hall of Fame - 1969 10-time Pro Bowl selection (8 at DT, 2 at OT) 6-time 1st Team All-Pro NFL 1950s All-Decade team
Canadian Brandon 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 I'm confused about the draft order...I think it's my pick. Anyways...I need a good corner and since there arn't too many greats left I'm gonna get my Hall of Famer. Roger Wehrli, CB * 7x Pro Bowl selection (1970, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979) * 7x All-Pro selection (1970, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979) * 7x All-NFC selection (1970, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979) * NFL 1970s All-Decade Team INT 40 INT yards 898 Touchdowns 9 This draft is going to be a failure if we don't PM the next person guys. HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 Given the run on O-Line this round, I'm leaning that way for 1 of my picks but at the same time I'm also thinking of bolstering the D-Line to offset the heavy swing.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 More WRs! Lance Alworth, WR 7 time All-AFL 7 time AFL all-star (Other stuff here: http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/member.jsp?player_id=16)
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 He did make it: Willie Brown, CB 9x Pro Bowl (1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973) NFL 1970s All-Decade Team AFL All-Time Team 54 career INTs (Raiders all-time leader in INT - 39) Super Bowl XI champion 2nd longest INT return for TD in Super Bowl history (75 yards) First-ballot Hall of Famer (1984) With the run on corners, I'm amazed he was still available. I had him as one of the 3 greatest corners ever, maybe the best.
Guest Report post Posted June 13, 2008 Hate to pick an Irish, but I need to make sure I get a top receiver before they're all stolen. Sorry to be a dick, but of all the receivers not to be taken, this one's still out there! Fuck. * 9x Pro Bowl selection (1988, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001) * 7x All-Pro selection (1988, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997) * NFL 1990s All-Decade Team * 1987 Heisman Trophy * 1987 Walter Camp Award Tim Brown. jwest27 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 Well, I looked though some names and saw a lot of great players but no one I absolutely couldn't live without.
