Gert T 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 So I know I sent some PM's to TSMers about BB9, and Big Brother was taken in the TV Draft so there is some interest. Big Brother 10 started Sunday night with 13 houseguests competing for $500,000. Included were a 75 year old great-grandfather of four, a woman with 5 month old twins at home, and a champion on the gay rodeo circuit. BB's hook this year is that for the first time since BB3, everyone in the house is a total stranger. Thoughts? There was not a great premiere episode moment like in BB8 when Jen cried at her photo, but this season has potential. Plus you gotta love the fact that Jerry, the 75 year old man has already touched some breasts in the house.

Twisted Intestine 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 I really like BB3, BB Allstars, and BB8. I couldn't get into BB9 at all. Let's hope this season picks it up again. I wonder if BB14 will be another All stars where they bring back all the winners of the first 13 seasons. I hope so, I want me some Evil Dick.

I wonder if BB14 will be another All stars where they bring back all the winners of the first 13 seasons. I hope so, I want me some Evil Dick. I HATED Dick. That house was a bunch of idiots for not voting him out the 10 times they had a chance. The first episode was very good. I like a few of the houseguests and they all seem to have an interesting personality. Hopefully we can get some good discussion in this thread this season. JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 BB8 had such over the top characters (EVEL Dick, The two catty gay guys, bible thumpers, Jensa and the meathead connection), I could see why people didn't care for the season or like the idea that Dick won by not only brow beating everyone but used his daughter's ability to win comps to his advantage. BB9, for all the flak it gets, was a decent season that proved that building relationships with the houseguests was as important as winning comps. The season is already pretty interesting. Seems like a good mix of the young and old guys. I think and hope the body builder gets the boot for being a whiny bitch. I think the old dude will last until the middle of the game when he finally gets worn down with all the shit that goes down.

Twisted Intestine 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 Dick was so hilarious and gay. I don't care what anyone says about him, he became one of my heros for what he did on BB.

That's the whole point of the game! Ability to win the competitions is the most minor part... The game's about manipulating everyone into making yourself win. fazzle 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 After the first episode, I feel like I really don't give a shit about the majority of these people still. The old bitch? She's annoying as fuck and needs to go ASAP. I like Jerry, he seems cool, and I like Angie, cause she's seriously fucking hot. (at least I think her name is Angie. The Asian chick with big tits) The hooters girl? Already fucking hate her, she just looks like Danielle with tits.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 My biggest complaint with Big Brother is how blatant the producers/editors/whatever are about forcing the show in a certain direction. Between that "America's Player" joke a few seasons ago (after which the guy admitted that he was pushed to make certain decisions while in the "diary room") to Dick & Danielle getting the ultra-kind edit to make them both look less douchey (and to continue the charade that they were estranged but brought back together due to the show) to last season's ultra-push of James ... the show is supposed to be a non-scripted show, yet they seem so bent on creating subplots throughout the season. And that, for some reason, really bothers me. Having said that, for this season: Rooting for April because she's chesty and unable to differentiate any of the males from each other with the exception of Ollie & Jerry. Oh, and the bitchy muscle-head that thinks that people are against him because of his puffed up physique, and not because he was a crybaby douche when the horrendous older woman woke him up ... umm, you're in a house with a dozen roommates, it's safe to presume that you're going to be woken up occasionally. Gert T 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 Yeah, I don't know what the hell Jessie was thinking, why would you bitch on the first night? But I am guessing that he wakes up every morning at 4 for a protein shake then goes back to bed. If Renny were smart, she should throw this POV badly, so everybody thinks she cant compete well and will carry her along for awhile. (Cause the fact that she annoys the daylights out of people is strikes one and two against her.)

Oh man... That got beyond ridiculous. There were points where I was thinking to myself, "you gotta be fuckin kidding me". He claimed the Big Brother people hated him, yet they did whatever it took to get him to stay as long as possible.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 Alright, I watch most of the live feeds, and read the forums and stuff so I usually know what's going on ahead of time, in comparison to shows. It's amazing how much the game changes in comparison (there are people being shown on tv right now forming an alliance, who have already hated each other for a couple of days now) But, the way they just ambushed Jerry, was something I haven't seen before, and was just downright funny. Poor guy thinks he's escorting a lady to the bathroom, and then BAM!, 9 people in his room talking game to him. I don't know why I just thought that was really funny. RedJed 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 I saw a bunch of what I think was live feeds or really unedited large clumps of the show on Showtime Two channel late night last night and (and this is going into watching this not even seeing a single Big Brother show in a good 3-4 years so bare in mind I probably shouldnt even say much) I can't even explain how lame this was. But then again I'm seeing the really pointless stuff that they throw on a block for many hours in the middle of the night, called "after dark" or something. It made for a great cure for a little insomnia lately though. But these people on the show, I just couldnt connect with what was going on in any way, it all seemed so forced in how they were portraying themselves in front of the cameras a bit. Lots of swearing too for some reason. The only thing I remembered was some girl bitching about another girl who apparently was talking shit about her to someone else outside, and it turned into them both talking it out, realizing it was a misunderstanding or something and then crying about it all. Wow....never again am I watching this late night BS ever again. Does the Showtime feed ever end up showing a little titty or anything from these chicks? My guess is probably not given the fact they seem to still have this footage they air on here semi-edited, as it cuts to different cameras in another room if "dead air time" starts to happen or whatever. Gert T 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 Last year, there was a strip tease with Natalie and Chelsia, which was pretty raunchy. There also was a time where about 10 of the HG's were in the pool. The problem lately with After Dark is that I think they try to conceal who won POV, so we get three hours of garbage like the two girls talking.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 My thoughts on the HG's so far: Ollie - Its Nick from BB8! Do you want to win $500,000 or do you want to get Big Boobs McGee to like you? Damn, revealing his plans because he hated how April looked when she said she didn't trust him. See how well that worked out for Nick. Jessie - He will be gone by Week 3, I am 90% certain. Good thing he won POV, or he would have been gone. Now he'll get backdoored. I didn't see the live feeds, so it could have been an editing job, but he seemed like an a-hole when he was up in Jerry's room with everyone else. Jerry - I think he should have nominated Memphis. It may have saved him for one week, but that group will turn on him quickly. Tough call, I think he should have put up a stronger physical player this early, plus if Brian has already been exposed, they can get him later. Brian - Shame he is going to go. Probably went a little too strong, too soon. The first elimination is always an alpha male, a hot girl who can't get along with other hot girls, or people who are in the first conflict. nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 Brian - Shame he is going to go. Probably went a little too strong, too soon. The first elimination is always an alpha male, a hot girl who can't get along with other hot girls, or people who are in the first conflict. Brian was stupid to try and become the ringleader in week one; the people that do that NEVER last long once it becomes obvious what they're trying to do. The best thing to do is lay low for a while and fly under the radar. Look at that guy from a few seasons ago (the Donato-love-fest season) - Zach, I think his name was. People (online) bitched about him having no personality all season, and yet he got himself to the final 3 as a result. So far I'm having a tough time deciding who I think will win: I'm torn between Dan, Memphis, Angie or Keesha. I'm not having the same problem with who I want to win: April FTW. She's hawt. Gert T 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 Yeah Brian had to stroke his ego, but to me its like why? I can live with wanting to align with one person, but once you try to pull in too many people, it goes downhill because nobody knows each other yet. Yeah April is smoking hot. Canadian Brandon 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 Brian should have just kept quiet after he got Jerry on his side. He could have had a strong alliance with Ollie and Dan. I think after Brian goes this week the house is gonna have a reset and new alliances will be formed.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 I would think it almost has to, since the only three that were not upstairs scheming with Jerry during the "potty time" were Dan, Renny and Steven right? I would hate for it to become like the beginning of Season 8 where the eliminatons were predictable the first four weeks. I just hope somebody, votes for Brian just to get everybody worked up. I hate the "vote with everybody or get singled out".

Brian's need to pat himself on the back got him a swift boot in the ass on the way out. The Michelle Obama look alike probably overplayed her hand last night too, as did Ollie. She proved to be too smart for her own good, while he proved to be a dumbass in regards to strategy. So, that sets up Angie, April and the nondescript guys like Dan and Steven to be in position to win it. I just want to see more of Angie in a bikini.

RedJed 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 So I watched this shit again last night on Showtime (car crash effect) and AGAIN, two girls were upset at each other for ridiculous reasons that ended up being just a bunch of misunderstanding. Sat through an hour of it last night during the hot blonde and the other pretty hot blonde (Keasha and, umm, April I think?) in seperate rooms freaking out on the other to all the other girls, what a bunch of ridiculous drama. I also have figured out the girls name who I think I dislike more than any other reality TV "star" in recent memory, the girl on here named Michelle. I've never seen such a neurotic piece of work such as her before. The first night I watched this on Showtime, she was upset at another girl (some brunette who I think was Angie?) about something absolutely pointless and the way she dealt with it was really bizzare, passive aggressive to the max. All I know is that having some old man on here in the mix of late twenty somethings to early thirtysomethings is funny, and I don't know if he has a chance in hell to win the whole thing, but I think it would be great if he did since just about everyone else in this house seems embroidled in paranoid drama with alliances and strategies. From what I've seen, the old man just kind of goes with the flow.
Canadian Brandon 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 The sock puppets were great. I'm kind of upset that Brian got voted out, but I guess it serves him right for trying to control the house so early. Good to see that they brought the live crowds back for the eviction shows. I'm debating on if I should get the live feeds or not. Anybody here got them? Is it worth it? fazzle 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 I'm glad that Jimmy won HOH. I hope he puts Dave and Barney up. What? are you sure that none of those are names of people in the house this year? They're all just so fucking interchangable, I can't find myself to give enough of a shit about what their names are.

There's no need to pay for the feeds, as others who do get them, post all the vids on Youtube and other upload sites as mentioned. And also, there are people who actually type up what's happening every 2 or 3 minutes or so. (The 'updates' section) Which is pretty ridiculous, but hey, it's cool I guess since I don't have to pay for the feeds. http://bbcouchpotatoes.blogspot.com/ Another site, a little more simplified.
