Guest SupaTaft Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I don't know what is happening here, or care for that matter but this caught my eye. In Shadow's sig it says: HHH- You may not like him, but he's still better than Hogan! That is the single biggest crock of shit I have ever seen on this site, and I've seen the "Anglesault should be a mod" thread. Lets see HHH have his own fad. Lets see HHH have his own cartoon show. Lets see HHH have his own plush toy. Lets see HHH be worshiped by millions of people worldwide. Facts are facts. Hogan may not move much, but he still sells better than HHH. Both market-wise, and wrestling-wise. Hogan will always have more influence than HHH ever will in this damn business, no matter how many angles HHH writes for himself to make him look good. Stupid fucker. -Taft PS Eat shit and die.
Guest Incandenza Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I'd like to point out that in this era of bad ratings and poor buyrates they just put 3 heels over in the final 3 matches...and fans go home...unhappy again Outside of the admittedly screwy booking decision of the KOTR final, putting over Angle and Taker were the right decisions. Still, RVD should've gone over.
Guest Flyboy Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Or, he's just so intense, he doesn't care who he Pedigrees. That made me laugh... hee-hee.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 So...did I make the right decision in not ordering it?
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Okay, HHH Pedigreeing Rock was getting him back for the chairshot, not a heel turn, and since Trips and the nWo are on different shows, fugghedaboutit. That was thrown out there to get our hopes up. I really don't want to say anymore about the show, other than the main event is a DUD and they need to give Booker, Goldust, and Rock a daily half-hour comedy program.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 The first match was great... ... ...
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I just hope that come Summerslam Taker isn't the Undisputed Champion. There's no way the main will be Brock vs Taker. If Taker still has the belt after Vengeance, its gonna be at least a triple threat match, if not a Fatal 4 way or 6 Pac Challenge match. But I figure someone (ROCK) will beat Taker at Venegance. Shudder - Isn't Rock supposed to be going away after Summerslam?. so if he does beat Taker and it ends up being Brock vs Rock at Summerslam, theres gonna be a new Undisputed Champion...Brock Lesnar. How are they gonna sell that to anyone that knows he's gonna be leaving?
Guest Flyboy Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I'd like to point out that in this era of bad ratings and poor buyrates they just put 3 heels over in the final 3 matches...and fans go home...unhappy again Outside of the admittedly screwy booking decision of the KOTR final, putting over Angle and Taker were the right decisions. Guest Incandenza Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Hunter giving the Pedigree to Rock doesn't mean a heel turn, you dipwads. Austin--a face--use to Stunner people left and right, regardless of which side of the heel/face fence they sat on. Haven't any of you watched wrestling before? EDIT: I see the Maximum Proconsul beat me to it.
Guest LJSexay Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I fear for he who takes the blame for the horrible booking.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 How will they sell it? By putting RVD against someone and having another Match of the Night while still being stuck in the midcard while guys who have no heat and bad matches stick to the top. Did that sound bitter? Aw...screw it. RVD IS the NEXT BIG....CONSPIRACY VICTIM.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 No, I'm still not regretting ordering it. Seeing RVD at his peak for the next month was worth it to me. And Rock is GOD. Imagine this show without him.
Guest Your Olympic Hero1 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Well, we are due for our yearly TLC match. Why not a singles TLC match? RVD vs. Brock vs. Taker vs. Rock = RATINGS!
Guest Cubbie78 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 well when Austin did it, it was cool and meant something (well to the marks I guess) but when HHH does it, it means nothing cause he is NOT OVER
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 BPS21, I thought you were on a Triple Boycott?
Guest Shaved Bear Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 The first match was great... ... ... that it was, i should've took a nap afterwards though
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I want to see RVD destroy someone in a TLC match for the title after Rock has verbally abused them for an hour. I don't care who the hell you stick in there, it would bring me infinite glee.
Guest Incandenza Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Yes... he should have, damnit! Even RVD-Haters should admit that! Kahrus did! >_< *is fucking pissed* Flyboy--And I don't even like RVD that much. But it's getting to the point where he's different, and I'm fucking tired of the same ol' bullshit. well when Austin did it, it was cool and meant something (well to the marks I guess) but when HHH does it, it means nothing cause he is NOT OVER Cubbie--You should know by now that means NOTHING.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 That made me laugh... hee-hee. Thank you. So, which nail in the coffin was this, and how many are left until the WWE is ready to get ressurected again?
Guest Flyboy Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 RVD IS the NEXT BIG....CONSPIRACY VICTIM. Yes, damnit! He is! Unless there is a #1 Contendership match on Raw tomorrow, and RVD wins... oh, I'm going to be so pissed for a LONG LONG time. Until.. about Tuesday when I finally get cable interent, then I'll be happy... until it soaks in again that RVD lost and I'll still be VERY VERY mad.
Guest MrRant Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I swear to god people are never fucking happy. Even if Brock has no heat currently... do you think maybe they are trying to you know BUILD him to get some heat while pushing someone new? Some people get so fucking upset that they are pushing "your" guy RVD (I LIKE RVD are would have preferred him to go over) and they are pushing some other piece of talent. You people don't want NEW talent at the top you want only the people YOU like. Selfish bastards.
Guest Cubbie78 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Sure, but I can still be mad and bitter about... Im still pissed at the RVD thing like pretty much everyone on this board
Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 So...did I make the right decision in not ordering it? Yes you did. There were maybe only 3 decent/good matches tonight: Jericho vs. RVD, Hurricane vs. Knoble, and Flair vs. Guerrero. Having 3 heels win the final 3 matches(though it was wise to have Angle and Taker go over in their matches, but Brock's getting pushed too quickly in his career) isn't helping the low WWE PPV buyrates either. Also, no Raven vs. Jeff Hardy. Instead, it was a tag match on Heat with The Hardy Boyz vs. Raven and Steven Richards with Raven leaving the match. Another example of WWE's terrible booking of heels by having them run away.
Guest Incandenza Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 You people don't want NEW talent at the top you want only the people YOU like. And what in the hell is wrong with wanting people you like? I'm all for pushing new talent, but this is too much, too soon for Brock.
Guest Flyboy Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Flyboy--And I don't even like RVD that much. But it's getting to the point where he's different, and I'm fucking tired of the same ol' bullshit. Thanks incadenza... for proving my point. I think everyone wants something different... Brock ain't your answer. RVD is, damnit.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Vengence: Rock.Vs.HHH.Vs.The-Undertaker Brock-Lesnar.Vs.RVD I-made-$60-off-of-King-Of-The-Ring,but-next-month-I-have-to let-my-customers-watch-Vengence-free-of-charge-due-to-RVD not-being-King-Of-The-Ring. I-don't-even-pay-for-the-PPV's. RVD-was-Screwed!
