Maybe another Cormac McCarthy novel can become Best Picture material?

I'm leery. Although the still admittedly looks fantastic, the child they chose is older than I had pictured and I don't like the idea of name actors showing up in bit parts.

 

That said, I'll probably see this the night it comes out.

The book was fantastic, but I don't feel that the source material would lend itself very well to the big screen. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I know about the novel but haven't read it though seeing Michael K. Williams in this gets my vote.
