Enigma 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 Dark Matches Jake Hager defeated Jamie Noble. Funaki defeated Nick Nemeth. ECW for September 2 A live Dirt Sheet with The Miz & John Morrison opens the show. Mark Henry & Tony Atlas came out. They called out Chavo Guerrero, mocking his "Oooooh Chavo" theme music. Chavo and Bam Neely came out. Morrison took a dig at Chavo, asking for a guy named "Kerwin". Matt Hardy came out and talked junk about everyone in the ring. Everyone goes to jump Hardy when Finlay comes out to help. Finlay and Hardy clear the ring. We go backstage where the fight is continuing. GM Teddy Long makes an 8-man tag match for later: Matt Hardy, Finlay, Tommy Dreamer, & Evan Bourne vs. Mark Henry, Chavo Guerrero, John Morrison, & The Miz. Super Crazy defeated Gavin Spears with a moonsault. Ricky Ortiz defeated Ryan Braddock with a splash off the ropes. Matt Hardy, Finlay, Tommy Dreamer, & Evan Bourne defeated Mark Henry, Chavo Guerrero, John Morrison, & The Miz. All the faces hit their finishing moves on Henry before Hardy made the pin. After the match, Finlay invited some kids in the ring to dance with Hornswoggle. Dreamer and Tony Chimmel joined in. Smackdown for 8/29 The Undertaker opens the show, coming to the ring for a live promo. He promises to take GM Vickie Guerrero's soul. He sets the ringposts on fire and exits. R-Truth defeated Kenny Dykstra with an axe kick. Truth used the same "WHAT'S UP" music that he used in TNA. Not much reaction for Truth. Natalya & Maryse defeated Michelle McCool & Maria with Maryse pinning Maria after a DDT. Maryse and McCool brawled after the match, with Natalya jumping in to assist Maryse. Jeff Hardy defeated MVP with a swanton bomb. After the match, Shelton Benjamin comes in and lays out both men. Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder NC Jesse & Festus. Before the match could start, the Big Show came out and destroyed all four men. He took the mic and complained about not being in the WWE Championship Scramble at Unforgiven. He promises he will not be overlooked anymore. Bri Bella defeated Victoria. After escaping the widow's peak from Victoria, Bri went outside and underneath the ring, where the switched with her twin sister, Nicole Bella. After Nicole crawled into the ring, feigning fatigue, she quickly rolled up Victoria for the win. The Brian Kendrick came out with Ezekiel to discuss the Championship Scramble. Ezekiel stood behind him reading a book, Sun Tzu's "The Art of War". Kendrick asked him what year that was written in and Ezekiel answered. This was said to be really funny. Kendrick says he walks the line of brilliance and insanity and after Unforgiven, he will walk out as WWE Champion. Triple H defeated Shelton Benjamin after blocking an STO and hitting a Pedigree. After the match, the Great Khali came out and attacked both men. He hit the tree slam on HHH and then walked back up the ramp. Post-Show Triple H defeated the Great Khali in a Pittsburgh Street Fight. HHH got up from the attack and told Khali that if he wanted a title match, to come take it right now and they'd make it a Pittsburgh Street Fight. At one point, Khali got his arms tied up in the ropes. HHH went out to grab the sledgehammer, but Khali kicked him before he could use it. Khali went for the head vice. HHH escaped, sending Khali into the corner. HHH grabbed the sledgehammer hit Khali in the face with it for the pin. Source: WO

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 When did the Bella sisters get called up? This week apparently. Shocked it took WWE this long to have twin divas. Here's a photo for those who aren't aware of these two
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 I still say Khali is going to attack THE Kendrick to replace him in the Scrabble match.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 I thought it would be Big Show that would beat down Kendrick and take the spot since he's going around attacking everyone.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 You're haboring a pretty severe case of dissent for TBK. You've spent the better part of the last week since TBK was placed in the scramble deriding him and openly wanting to see a retread obtain that spot.
Mike wanna be 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 Why are their hands so...veiny? Reminds me of Batista's arms, that's just nasty.

Here's a photo for those who aren't aware of these two Unless they come off better looking on TV, this doesn't impress me. The only thing different about them from most of the other Divas is their hair color. Other then that they need to eat something, they don't need to be fat, but they look way too skinny in that picture.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 I have to say, the whole "one person rolls out of the ring while the other rolls in and feigns being hurt long enough to fool the heel and get the pin" is an outdated concept and needs to stop. It was fun in the 80s when the Killer Bees were doing it, but enough is enough.
Silence 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 I have to say, the whole "one person roles out of the ring while the other rolls in and feigns being hurt long enough to fool the heel and get the pin" is an outdated concept and needs to stop. It was fun in the 80s when the Killer Bees were doing it, but enough is enough. I was reminded of The Bashams and The Harris Boys after I read the spoiler about the Bella switcheroo. I don't like how every twin (or "twin") pairing does that spot in WWE.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 Honestly, I think the only way these chicks will get over is if they do a lesbian incest angle and a bunch of Lit-ish high spots.

Silence 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 What about those classic Kurt Angle/Eric Angle switch-a-roos? I forgot those somehow. Just goes to show that WWE has done that spot too many times over the years.
cd213 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 I liked the Angle spot. No one expected that to happen at all. In regards to the twins, does anyone know about their wrestling skill? I know WWE doesn't always care about that with their Divas, but it's something I'm interested in knowing. Are they Victoria/Nattie/Beth in the ring or Kelly Kelly/Candice in the ring? zappafrank 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2008 I was at the SD/ECW taping and I didn't even notice the switch with the twins. Given that the match wasn't very captivating and no one knew who Brie Cheese Bella was, I'm betting a lot of us weren't really paying attention. Now that I think about it, Pittsburgh is the place for switcheroos. We had the awesome Angle switch from SD in 2003 (I marked hard when I realized what had happened), the debut of Edge's...Edge guys (TM HBK) at Armageddon this past Dec (again, I didn't notice but it's b/c I was focusing on the ring, and then one of my friends pointed it out), and then the sisters (which I didn't catch b/c I wasn't paying attention in general). Miz and Morrison mocking Chavo's theme was awesome. It brings to mind the glory of Edge and Christian mouthing Edge's theme back in the day. FWIW, the biggest face pops were Taker, HHH, and both Hardys. I didn't notice any one heel getting a lot of heat over another, though. Tony Chimmel dancing was scary. The THE Brian Kendrick segment aired on the 'tron; they didn't come out to the arena. Another funny moment that I caught was when Matt Striker came out before ECW, and as he was about to sit down, he looked around nervously - as if checking that no one was watching - and then quickly slapped the hands of some fans as ringside. As usual lots of dumbass "LET'S GO, STEELERS!!!" chants. Hey, the Steelers are awesome, but some yinzers think that it's a requirement to do that chant no matter the situation. Apparently a lot of wrestlers hate wrestling in Pgh since the fans often sit on their hands (although I do recall Armageddon being really energetic), and when they do come to life it's the jackass chant.
