Weekend Box Office Report

Recommended Posts

I actually enjoyed Run, Fat Boy, Run. It was a dollar rental from the machine at the grocery store. It was still decent.

I actually think that the movies with the best potential over here happen to feature Nick Frost, and are directed by Edgar Wright. Shaun, and Fuzz had great ideas that came through in trailers.

Appaloosa could have been better than it was. I do agree that at times the film seems really slow moving, like it needed some tightening and as it went on Ed Harris' character starts doing a bunch of things that seem completely out of step with what we had seen from him early in the film. I suppose that was the point, that Zellweger turned him into something of a pussy, but as it went on I gravitated more to Viggo.

Yeah, I ended up going to How to Lose Friends over the weekend (another one of those me, myself, and I in the theater only deals.....they didn't even start the film up at all until I got there) and wow, did Kirsten Dunst really phone in her performance in it. Really deterred from enjoying the movie, but then again, it wasn't very good all around, very repetitive and circular story to say the least. Nearly walked out of the film and more than likely would have if it wasn't for constant skin from Megan Fox (as close to nudity as you can get, at least).

How To Lose Friends was just too disjointed. It would've worked better had they ditched the romcom aspect.

If I was Kirsten, I would've phoned this one in too.

And who saw An American Carol last night?

This guy!

It's horrible as you would expect, aside from playing Spot the Republican and questioning what Kelsey Grammer was thinking. But what really pissed me off is how they mock "Michael Malone" for making documentaries. I mean LOL documentaries r stupid am i rite?

And I believe the funniest scene in the movie was taken from the Onion Movie

I dont know how this affected the script and production exactly, but I read somewhere that the writer/guy who this film was based off of (Toby Young) was a ravaging madman on the set, creating all kinds of headaches for the crew, so perhaps that was part of this film being so ridiculously blah and all over the place.

Plus another knock on the film for showing tranny cock....ugh!
