ChrisMWaters Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Show hasn't started yet, Just felt like starting up the thread.
Psycho Penguin Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I didn't even know today was Veteran's Day.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 Forgot that Hardy/Finlay was tonight.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 ...don't they need to take Mike Knox out of the intro now? Morrison to start.
Psycho Penguin Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Knowing them, Knox is still on the ECW roster.
Psycho Penguin Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I like Swagger's theme song, but I liked his other 2 better. Hopefully they don't change it again.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 Did they really just say Shad was the modern Ernie Ladd?
ChrisMWaters Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 OK, seriously... When's the last time Dreamer has won a match on TV?
The Truthiness Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 There isn't a talent in the industry, with more potential then John Morrison.
Psycho Penguin Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Am I the only one that wonders what the hell Tony Atlas babbles about every time he comes out?
ChrisMWaters Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 ...that's the first time I've seen it...so I have to say this: That graphic for the ECW Championship was pretty cool.
The Truthiness Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Matt Striker is really fucking awesome.
Exslade ZX Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 "Hornwoggle's appeared to have injured an ankle or a knee." was unintentionally funny.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 That commercial for Sin City made me cry, as it reminded me of Crash Holly.
Psycho Penguin Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I'm not huge on geography, but isn't Northern Ireland a separate country from Ireland with totally different traditions and stuff?
The Truthiness Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 That was definately could've been a MOTYC, but it's to late in the year.
Matt Young Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 That was definately could've been a MOTYC, but it's to late in the year. That Hardy/Finlay match was really sloppy. That was not even the best match on the show, much less anything resembling a MOTYC. And does anyone else chuckle a bit whenever they mention Finlay drinking Guinness? I know it's part of his gimmick, but Finlay in actuality is a teetotaler.
Psycho Penguin Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I don't think Mark Calloway is an undead zombie who summons lightning bolts and sends people to hell, either.

This was back when Finlay was still an agent, before he returned to the ring.
RedJed Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Hardy/Finlay MOTYC? Hell, it's not even match of the week, that would go to Michaels/Jericho from Raw or even Angle/Abyss from Turning Point. Don't get me wrong, it was a solid *** 1/2 match and good stuff for ECW TV main event standards, but no way was that anywhere close to one of the better matches of the year.
Hawk 34 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 It probably won't even be Matt Hardy's best match this week as well. It was a good TV main event.

HBK/Jericho sucked, it was a shitty blowoff to an awesome 7 month feud.
DrVenkman PhD Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Wow, 22 posts - much better than the thread I made for the show last week (which - with it's big 8 posts - I deemed worthy of no longer starting and pinning). And this show was taped! Was there a big game on last week or something? People excited about BIGGER AVATARS?
DCH Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I'm not huge on geography, but isn't Northern Ireland a separate country from Ireland with totally different traditions and stuff? That is correct. Different Religion as well. Northern Irish are Protestant. Northern Ireland want to be British, while Ireland want to be Ireland.

This was back when Finlay was still an agent, before he returned to the ring. It was Finlay and Cena, back when Cena was still a heel in mid 2003. Finlay bought Cena a guinness beer during I believe a tour of ireland or scotland, Cena took one sip, nearly choked, then comically requested a glass of chocolate milk instead. It was funny.

tobin Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Am I the only one that wonders what the hell Tony Atlas babbles about every time he comes out? I like to think he's singing along to Mark Henry's awesome entrance theme.
