DrVenkman PhD Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 From today's F4W: Matt Hardy is working through a knee injury. He suffered a slightly torn PCL and stretched ligaments during the match with Finlay and figured he could work through it. By the time he did the Smackdown match with Shelton he was in excruciating pain. He woke up the next day and could barely walk, so he may be in trouble. That probably explains why the match on Raw with Regal was so short. If he ends up on the shelf, what to do with the ECW title? Back to Henry? Jack Swagger?
Enigma Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Didn't he have a similar injury in 2004?
DCH Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 That explains his pain in his match with Shelton, it was quite obvious he was clutching the knee and grimacing
The Buzz Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 I like to get behind Matt for the underdog factor, but I feel Jeff does it better. While Matt is my favorite of the two Hardy brothers, I don't think he's been interesting aside from the rivalry with MVP since he was doing the Matt Hardy Version 1.0 gimmick. Maybe if he takes time off he can freshed up the character a bit so he can continue to move up the ranks.
dubq Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Matt should be a heel. He was way better in his V1 role, IMO.
