KingPK 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 (edited) My playoff hopes may come down to the night game if Seattle can't get any closer. EDIT: Fucking 49ers. Edited December 29, 2008 by KingPK

San Francisco (9-7) AFC playoffs look like this: 1/2 - Pittsburgh/Denver (Den gets top seed if Broncos cover tonight, otherwise Pit) 3 - Houston 4 - NY Jets 5 - Jacksonville 6 - Baltimore Looks like San Fran and Washington win the NFC wild cards based on conference record (8-4 for both compared to 7-5 for Carolina). KingPK 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 (edited) By my Q&D calculations, Gert is in as AFC East champs and APO gets a Wild Card. I have NO idea after that. EDIT: Thank you Chris and WOOOOOOOOO!! Edited December 29, 2008 by KingPK
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 With the exception of the 9-7 wild card contention teams in the NFC, identical records do not have the tie-breaker rules applied to them just yet. HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 Is it just me or was there a ton of parity this season? Near as I can tell, the worst record is 3-11-2 with an impressive low of only 5-11 in the NFC. At least 16 teams finished in the area of 7-9 to 9-7.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 Here's a fun exercise: say my tie ended up being a loss and I finished 8-8. Who gets the last WC spot in that case?
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 PK: Bob's sweep of Harley would have eliminated New England. Because Baltimore, KC and Buffalo didn't play each other, the next tie-breaker is conference record. You would have won based on a 7-5 conference record to KC's and Buffalo's 6-6 records. Quinn: There's generally a lot of parity, especially with the 7-9/8-8 records. One year (I think it was Season II) was more crazy than this. PLAYOFFS: I want to double-check final standings, but here is how Wild Card Weekend looks: AFC: #1 Seed: Pittsburgh Steelers (Kahran Ramsus) 10-5-1 #2 Seed: Denver Broncos (Canadian Chris) 10-6 #6 Baltimore Ravens (King PK) 8-7-1 @ #3 Houston Texans (Bored) 10-6 #5 Jacksonville Jaguars (Always Pissed Off) 9-7 @ #4 New York Jets (Gert) 9-7 Chris gets the bye over Bored due to a better Conference record. NFC: #1 Atlanta Falcons (Rocket) 13-3 #2 Philadelphia Eagles (Starvenger) 12-4 #6 San Francisco 49ers (Devo) 9-7 @ #3 Minnesota Vikings (Danville Wrestling) 11-5 #5 Washington Redskins (Human Fly) 9-7 @ #4 Seattle Seahawks (UZI) 9-7 UZI is the division winner over Devo due to a better division record. Human Fly has the higher seed over Devo due to a head-to-head victory.
