The rationale behind the releases is that TNA wants to freshen things up, and well since the ME guys are going nowhere, they're going to bring in new undercard guys.

 

It's not like Rave, Hoyt or Petey had any rub to give. The door is open for them to return later on. Maybe this will open up spots for Ken Doane and Elijah Burke...
