i liked the way angle pinned him, i hadn't seen it done like that before.

It was a tightly hooked, amateur style roll-up..not a backslide, Cena didn't slide down Angle's back.

Don't try to confuse Anglesault with facts.

He hook his arms, and kind of twisted a little so that Cena's arms were on the mat. It did not look devastating.

Yeah and Bret was beat by Owen(who wasn't supposed to be in his league either) with a reversed victory roll.

Different situation. Besides, Bret won the WWF title later that night, correct?

It was a BACKSLIDE!

And you're a fucking bitch! Get a new argument you fucking idiot!

Angle is a pro wrestler, i dont think that how he looks in one match matters at all. And it wasnt a goddamn backslide!

Trish vs. Jackie at Vengeance had a variation.

Yep, sure did....and it didn't hurt Bret at all, it just built up Owen.

Any roll-up isn't supposed to be devastating, its only supposed to get you a win. Remember, the point is to get your opponents shoulders pinned for a 3 count, not knock him out or stunning him momentarily...thats just the conventional way of getting a win.

Anglesault--You accuse Edge of being "boring" and "repetitive," but your non-stop moaning about Angle's treatment is just that: boring and repetitive. Get over it.

And I will always maintain that ANY roll up lookd stupid an unconvincing, and unless it actually furthes some kind of story (a squash until a freak roll up, for example) they are useless.

Have you watched the match?

Just for the record, Owen put all of his weight down on Bret and it came as a complete shock to everyone, including Owen, that he got the win. The way Bret struggled during the pinfall also made the move that much more convincing...he just couldn't get his shoulders up.

Yes I've watched the match. And I don't have a problem with that because the roll up made sense, looked somewhat convincing, and helped to further the Owen/Bret storyline.

I'm just saying that in a normal match, roll ups should not be used.

Why not? Its something used to get a pinfall, thats all. Its commonplace.

You liked the ending of Taker/HHH? or Molly/Trish? It's stupid when every match ends in a weak ass fucking roll up. They sould be reserved for "stunning upsets" or "shock pins" They have a place, just not in Angle/Cena when Angle is going over. If CENA went over (Yes, I'd be furious, but bear with me) that would be a good way to go.

The reason why I hated the finish between Taker/HHH isn't because of the roll up itself....but because it took about 10 seconds for Earl to count to three.

Molly and Trish.....it had a purpose and it was fine, in my opinion.

I think the best way to end Molly/Trish would be the Molly Go Round, but Okay.

And I think it wouldn't be as bad that if it took Earlt ten seconds to count to three after the Last Ride, because that move looks like it could lay HHH out ofr ten seconds

Let's see how much heat Kurt loses from this before we all (Anglesault) start complaining.

*Shocker* We agree on the women's finish! I'm not saying that the roll up was the best way, but they wanted the title on Molly without Trish losing any heat. WWE management is too inept to realize that Trish wouldn't lose any heat if she lost clean..because she has big breasts.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to say with your second statement.

i thought they had a good match, but this rollup winning crap is stupid

Hell, they could have revealed that Molly had a metal ass plate.

I'm saying, that if HHH took the Last Ride, and Hebner took forever to count, that wouldn't be SO bad, because a Last Ride SHOULD take a guy out for a long time. There is no reason a roll up should take HHH out for ten seconds.

I just really feel that a roll up is a cop out ending for bookers who can;t think of anything creative.

AS, a question: do you have much experience in amateur wrestling? Or judo or jiujitsu or anything similar?

If you did, you would have seen that was a SHOOT pin that Angle hooked Cena with. The instant I saw him do that, I knew it was the finish. Trust me, there was NO way that John could've gotten out of that one. That was no fluke backslide.

Besides, what other finish does he really need to use? Not the Olympic Slam, everyone kicks out of that as if it were the Lionsault. And he just made HULk F'N HOGAN tap out to the Anklelock on Sunday, so that move certainly doesn't need to be built up any more. Why not occasionally remind the viewers that Angle is one of the best amateur wrestlers in the world with pinning sequences like that one?

Guest Anglesault

I think the Ankle Lock was the best possible finish.

Werd Jingus..

It simply adds to the amount of ways that Angle can beat you. You HAVE to mark out for that, AS.

Man, that's all you had to say.

You'd hate puro.

Anglesault will never be happy, even if the match was a nice chain style of wrestling with a chain backslide. If Anglesault doesn't squash his opponents, then forget it....... <_<

I guess I'd have more right to be annoyed if he uses it on a regular basis. (But maybe then it WILL turn into a "That's over" move. :) )

To me, this says you need someone to hold your hand and walk you through the viewing of a wrestling match. You need to be told that something is the finish.

Angle is a WRESTLER, and he beat Cena with WRESTLING.

Did you not listen to me? The instant that Kurt hooked that hold, I DID say "Oh, that's it!" To me, it looked like a brilliant, rock-solid, no-escape pinning predicament, one which I've never seen in the WW(F)E before.

I understand and respect your opinion but this is AS, just let it lie. It is exactly as Dames said.

Can't help but throw a two cents in.

Why is a rollup of any type so bad? It's a smart wrestler saying "I see an opening and I can win with it."

Someone goes for a move, you hook up and roll before they know what happens and bam, they lost.

Devastating finish or smart wrestler? Bah. I should've listened to Dames....
