Being from Illinois didn’t help the Chicago Grapplers. Hell, I didn’t even know we had 4 guys from Illinois on the roster! Any more? I think California holds the record for producing the most OAOAST characters. Tommy G vs. Cortez: Interesting turn of events. Don't know what to make of the Zack deal at the end. Look forward to what happens next. Potential face turn for Biff and Vinny? Not sure if I mentioned it before, but I like the new team name of Strutter/Pantera. French New Wave vs. Dirty Sexy Money: New Molly scares me. But this match sure didn’t. Patty brings it as usual. Leon and Morgan? When will that boy learn him + Nerdly girls = problems? Reject vs. Alf: Unbelievable match with a shocking result. I liked both characters so much I wasn’t sure who I wanted to see win. Now that it’s happened I wish Alf had. That character has been here from almost the beginning, maybe the beginning. What’s next? Krista vs. Teddy: Great shit. LOL at the serious rasslin’ outfit. Plus you had Clem as ref! Been a while since I’ve seen him used. Battlebowl: Alf did a great job with this. Instead of just telling him to have Moss eliminate CMJ and CPA, I told him exactly how to do it. Next time I’ll make it easier on you! Quote of the Show: "We’re Snow White and the six dwarves because there’s no Grumpy allowed." -- Queen Esther LOL Moment: While Esther prattles on, Lucius comes in and removes the TV from the catering set so that no one may see any more bad guys win. Just in case they get any funny ideas to steal it back, Lucius launches the set against the wall! It shatters apart, tumbling to the ground. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2009 You know, I was actually thinking shortly before this show was to come up, "you know, it would have been neat to have a Jumbo/Love Docs team challenge for the six-man titles here, since they're all from Chicago". And here, KC took it even one step further, throwing Peoria's Tim Cash in for the 8-man titles. Really nice opener. Nice segment with Strutter/Pantera/Biff. Except you'll notice that KC still refers to them as Team Canada here, instead of their new name, The Can-Am Assassins, and that's my fault for just posting that in the specs and assuming everyone would see it, instead of actually telling KC. Good women's tag match, with some miscommunication at the end. Curious to see what comes of that. And a funny bit afterwards with the queen. Hot eight-man tag action, with the Moneygang picking up a big win headed into AngleSlam. Two big tag matches coming up there, should be a lot of fun. As Tony said not too long ago, you can tell it's summertime because everyone's game is picking up. Confident words from Bo, and Leon coming to Morgan's aid? It just seems like a fit. I really liked how it was touched on why Teddy would want to brutalize her so much if they were to be married after he won the match. Great story and great match. Which considering Conan taped in NY for years, and now LA, makes no sense for the Chicago show. But I didn't know what to put in the space. So, what the hell. A skyline's a skyline. Patty O'Green 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2009 As I told KC, great job on the graphics! KC gave us a bonus match right here. Wasn't expecting it at all but still really liked it. I was wondering for a while why we forgot the Love Docs are from the windy city, but KC remembered! I'm surprised no one's touched on Landon running his own federation into bankruptcy and then stealing the belts of his dead promotion. Those are assets to pay the courts man! California has produced the most OAOAST stars off the top of my head the California born are: Biff, Ned, Krista, Jade (although she moved to Michigan when still a baby), Alix, Maya, Lorelei, Holly, Northstar, Todd Cortez, Marcellus Wallace, Vinny Santana, Flex Phillips, James Riggs, The Parka, K.Money and probably a lot more. We could have an all California battle royal! How can anyone be scared of new Molly!? That's Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett, and Kristen Stewart is hot and Joan Jett was awesome, so new Molly=Awesomley hot! lol@Biff. I guess super strength isn't one of his powers. is this the first time Biff has been a face? Every role seems to have him as a heel dating back to NRG, who by the way were an underrated tag team! Cool promo by Strutter and nice to get an explanation why Pantera ain't with Vinny V anymore. He's missing out on the party! Excellent 8 man match, maybe one day we'll see the cobras and heyross against CI. I didn't expect the Moneygang and VICE to win this one, that was pretty surprising for me. Good promos and skits from KC, I really liked Bo's bit a lot. A most excellent match by Alf! I thought about skipping to the end to see who would get their career crushed, but I'm glad I didn't because the near falls really got me at the end. I always thought that something screwy might happen to negate the stipulation, like a run in or no contest. But Alfdogg got put away, the student has officially become the master. I just realized the DA is a gigantic stable, I think they're at least at 7 people. The Enterprise is at about 5 and CI is at 6(?) All The Queen's Men are at 5 so I guess they're about the same size as everyone else. Clem is sometimes gone but never forgotten! Very fun battle royal, even though I knew who'd win it, I still enjoyed seeing the eliminations up until the end. I expected Denzel would be the last one to get eliminated, but I didn't expect Heat to last so long because he hasn't really been used at all these past couple of months. Arturas eliminating Bo was a shock to me, could there be a feud there? Has Arturas been around before joining the DA and I just missed him?
