Yes! Yes! Yes!

I have nothing more to add, except that I'm probably as big a NewsRadio fan as the rest of you guys.

We've had Newsradio on FOX in Massachusettes for years, syndicated of course. They were running the older episodes while the new ones were still going over on NBC. They've been part of Fox's 5-7 lineup, bumped around forever. I must've seen every episode multiple times, and it's still on, I just watched it last night. What a great show...

That rules! Of coures, I'll be @ work, so I'll have to tape the episodes.

I'd rather they put it on @ night, though. Damn "The View"!

You know, if someone had the know-how and/or equipment, they should tape them & transfer them to DVD...

How are the A&E episodes compared to the syndicated ones, anyway? On alt.tv.newsradio, someone mentioned that there are still SOME cuts made to the episodes, but not as many as there were in the syndies. Is this true?

Are these episodes new? I didn't know they had a replacement for phil Hartman.

Yup. Jon Lovitz filled his shoes, so to speak, after Phil Died. Not the same character, obviously. It was odd considering Lovitz appeared in an eariler episode as a patient in a mental ward.

No, they're just running the existing episodes. Jon Lovitz filled in for Phil, but the show only lasted for a season or 2 after that.

He played that character, as well as the guy who was going to jump off the building, so Max Lewis turned out to be his 3rd different character on the show.

Who do you guys think did the best guest-shot on NR? A lot of people seemed to love Patrick Warburton as Johnny Johnson, but I thought he was such an annoying character, plus he married Lisa, which was another strike against him.

I really enjoyed Lauren Graham's turn as the evil (but perky) Andrea, the efficiency expert. I wish they had found a way to bring her back as a regular for the final season, instead of Lovitz (who I normally liked, but...you know).

If it counts, I love the episode with James Caan.

I didn't much care for Patrick Warburton, either.

John Stewart was good as Matthew's "twin" brother.

Dennis Miller was good as the guy stalking Bill (which prompted Bill to have Joe make him a stun gun).

Bebe Neuwirth was good as the temp who copied Beth.

Wasn't David Cross in 2 episodes as 2 different people, also? He played Jimmy's nephew, who did magic & had the brief fling w/ Beth. And wasn't he also in Dave's old barbershop quartet group?

Yes, you are correct about David Cross.

Norm as Roger the lawyer. Because well Norm is god.

Any season5 stuff kinda blows in comparison to seasons 1-4.

Janeane Garafalo was a funny guest star

Well, if anyone is interested, it appears A&E will be running all the episodes in order, for your taping pleasure. I taped #1 & #2, and I think I may keep it up.

Also, I'm glad they replaced the original handiman Rick with Joe Rogan. I don't think the original guy could have pulled the character off as well as Joe did.

Did you know that none other than Ray Romano was up for the Joe Garelli role? I'm glad they went with Quake player, MMA fan, and all around cool guy Joe Rogan.

Ray Romano? Damn, that would have sucked.

I was hoping someone would say that.

i have been waiting to use that garelli quote since last night when I thought it up while watching fear factor.

Maybe we should start a NewsRadio posting clique, and use that as our mantra.

can we be assholes and bitch about how Bill is holding Matthew and Joe down too?
