Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 19, 2002 Hey Areacode- I got the words to Come Back Lisa up there. I am the man
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted July 19, 2002 TRIVIA~! In today's episode, who was Boba Fett provided by? Oh, I decided to wait to continue the polls, as I didn't wanna spam up this board. So we'll do season two tomorrow.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted July 19, 2002 I don't have A&E, but I'm assuming that this is the card game episode, in which Boba Fett was provided by J.T. Hutt. In this same episode, one of the "escorts" (the one who didn't speak) eventually became famous in real life, thanks to another TV show. Who is she?? And good work on that song lyric. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 19, 2002 You don't get A&E?????? Tina Arning was in Spy Hard
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted July 19, 2002 Yeah, sucks to be without cable And I mean the one who isn't Tina Arning (hint: she dated Joe Rogan).
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 19, 2002 For all you people with cable (Shoots areacode a stinkeye) Tommorrow my God Norm Macdonald guests on NewsRadio. Watch it, love it, learn it. AC- we're you talking about Katherine McClellan?
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted July 19, 2002 Well, McClellan guest starred on "Seinfeld" playing Jerry's girlfriend who walked around naked all the time.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted July 19, 2002 Boba Fett was provided by Joe. The "Space Episode" takes place after "A New Hope" but before "Empire" (the 1st Death Star had been just blown up)
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted July 19, 2002 Boba Fett was provided by Joe. The "Space Episode" takes place after "A New Hope" but before "Empire" (the 1st Death Star had been just blown up) GEEK TEST!! Muahahaha....
Guest Jerome Drake Report post Posted July 19, 2002 Andy Dick is annoying. But I use to sometimes watch the show when Hartman was on.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted July 19, 2002 AC- we're you talking about Katherine McClellan? No. The third escort (the frizzy-haired one without any speaking lines) is none other than... JERRI MANTHEY (of Survivor: The Australian Outback--and Playboy-- fame). Yes, she dated Joe a while ago, and that is supposedly her in the episode. I was just watching "New Hampshire", one of the most depressing episodes of the series. Would you guys have wanted a 6th season, if it had taken place in NH? It would have felt like an entirely different show without WNYX, the break room, Dave's office, etc. They destroyed the WNYX set shortly after the season ended (but not before they shot scenes of Dave & Matthew working with a new staff--they were going to have Dave stay in NYC for a few episodes before deciding to join the rest of the gang), so it appears that it would have been a permanent move. I'm glad they ended it then, though I wish the series finale would have been happier. The 5th season was pretty abysmal (though it had some bright spots), and the actors (esp. Andy & Maura) seemed miserable by that point and were glad that it was over.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 19, 2002 I personally think that Bill Moves On should've been the finale. I have to wonder if they did the NH move because they knew they weren't going to get renewed anyway. NR in NH would've been an interesting concept that could've worked. I think none of them really wanted to S5 anyway- I mean I know I wouldn't want to continue w/o Bill
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted July 19, 2002 I think it's better they ended it right there. The last show actually had the feel of a series finale, IMO. Maybe that's just me. 1 season of Max Lewis is all I can take
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 19, 2002 They destroyed WNYX???? Who ended up getting the table where they had all the staff meetings.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 20, 2002 Injury censored??? Yesterday on A&E I think they censored Dave telling Bill he would be fined 'per penis' and Bill calling Dave a penis. Episode kicked ass cause Norm is God. Looks like per penis got the shaft
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted July 20, 2002 Yep, those lines come & go depending on where/when you see it. Also in the original filming, the number of "penis" mentions in the episode was much, MUCH higher, supposedly.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 20, 2002 I'm pretty sure every time Bill said "that word" or "This word" he prob meant to say penis.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted July 20, 2002 In the "Summer Rental" episode, I noticed the same kind of thing. Towards the end, Lisa refers to Bill as "thong man" (or something similar), but watching her mouth you can plainly see her say something with "ass" in it. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted July 21, 2002 Was Watching the Phil Hartman bio on MSNBC... Fuck Phil Hartman's Coke Whore Wife. Fuck her for taking away a father, son, brother, and friend. Fuck her for taking away one of the funniest men on the planet. Fuck her for ruining NewsRadio. Fuck her for taking away Troy McClure from the Simpson's. Everytime I see a story about Phil Hartman's murder it still pisses me off. He was such a talent.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 21, 2002 My email address is- [email protected] I still havent gotten over his death and I miss him terribly
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted July 21, 2002 I think NewsRadio is on A&E right now, so you might wanna check if you read this. Is was last week. Nevermind. "Murder in a Small Town", which will forever remind me of Wrestling with Shadows (because it was promoed during A&E's initial broadcast), is on. Since we don't get NewsRadio....we get the Season Two polls!
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted July 21, 2002 Add Bob Odenkirk to the "Multiple Personalities" list. He played the doctor in the "Matthew's Injury" episode, as well as a member of Chock Full of Notes. He may have been in another episode, but I'm not certain about that. Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted July 22, 2002 "Xmas Story" originally aired 12/19/95 Excited WNYX staffers give Jimmy a thoughtful and expensive Christmas gift, but their collective holiday cheer is disrupted when they receive cheap token gifts from Jimmy. Meanwhile, Bill is terrified by an ?evil? Santa who threatens to kill him Did A&E show this one? I've been taping all the weekday episodes, and this one wasn't shown.
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted July 22, 2002 I didn't see it, either, but I was getting my license and missed a few episodes that week.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted July 23, 2002 It should have been on either right before or right after the "Bill's Cane" episode.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 23, 2002 They didnt show it cause its not Xmas I guess
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted July 23, 2002 But on Christmas A&E won't even show NewsRadio! It'll be a pointless holiday Law & Order-athon.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted July 23, 2002 Don't worry, Spaceman, you'll get to watch it when you receive my CDs (which I'll send out this week, I promise!!). Then you can laugh at Matthew when everyone else gets cars, while he gets audio tapes of crap falling out of closets.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted July 24, 2002 One of my favorites to win the "Best of..." polls was on today: "Stargate Defender". Awesome, awesome episode. Plus Lisa is smokin' hot in it. And Beth's looking good, too (she can run hot & cold). And I love the last line: "I wish I was big"
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted July 24, 2002 Oh yeah, I love "Arcade" (aka the episode where Leelee Sobieski appears). Part of what makes this episode so completely awesome is the fact that the beginning of Act 4 shows the storefront of the late, lamented Broadway Arcade, which was the best arcade in Manhattan for a long time. I miss that fucking place! "So, uh, is your mom gonna pick you up here?" "Nope" "Damn!" I've said this before, but Vicki Lewis is so on in this episode. From the opening scene to the Jumble scene, to the scene where she unveils Stargate Defender, to how great her ass looks in that skirt. Plus, she she says "loooooooooove" in this episode. Oh yeah! Oh yeah, and it has a Flowers for Algernon reference. How can anyone not love this show?
