Guest Mattdotcom Posted September 5, 2002 Report Posted September 5, 2002 Whicca-what? They're showing them out of order? I was expecting Pilot. I gotta watch my tape. At least Bill is back. NINE PAGES~!
Guest bob_barron Posted September 5, 2002 Report Posted September 5, 2002 I was pissed cause I didn't care to see Pilot but love Inapproiate. So I put it on at 2:39 and am like: Why is Matthew upset? And then I was like: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. But at least we got Bill back.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 5, 2002 Report Posted September 5, 2002 Whicca-what? They're showing them out of order? I was expecting Pilot. I gotta watch my tape. At least Bill is back. NINE PAGES~! Channel 48 in the Philly area is showing NR at 10:00 PM weeknights.
Guest dreamer420 Posted September 5, 2002 Report Posted September 5, 2002 I watched a great episode a few nights ago. John Ritter guest starred as a therapist and Bill put a cubicle around his desk. Any thoughts on that episode?
Guest bob_barron Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 That one is really funny. I love when Matthew tells of Bill thinking he's in his cubicle and Bill is right behind him
Guest bob_barron Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I was watching today and something dawned me- When did Jimmy James join the group? It seems like today he wasn't friends with these people at all- He was just the guy who wrote the paycheques. So when did Jimmy kinda become one of the guys? Was it Station Sale?
Guest areacode212 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 "paycheques"? You're spelling like a Canadian after a week and a half!! Yeah, in the beginning he wasn't as chummy with the gang..he was just kind of a boss character. I'll have to go back and see at what point he became Unca Jimmy.
Guest bob_barron Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 What was up with Matthew and his camera today? Like he was doing it for no reason it seemed
Guest Mattdotcom Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Well, if it is any consellation, the girls at my high school carry around disposable cameras AND picture albums(!) in their big purses. So maybe it's because Matthew is weird.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted September 15, 2002 Report Posted September 15, 2002 Bumping because I had a thought: If NewsRadio was as big a hit as it should have been, what do you think about releasing a "real" Bill McNeal biography in the same fashion as those Twin Peaks cassettes?
Guest bob_barron Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 A real Bill McNeal autobiography would be like god like. I'm also bumping this cause bravesfan and incandenza mentioned their NR love
Guest areacode212 Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 I always thought that merchandising tie-ins like that were kind of cheesy. Bill telling depressing stories about his childhood, like the sandwiches that his mom used to make, are funny in small doses on the show, but I don't know if I could take an entire book's worth So just to keep the thread going for this week, what's the NewsRadio cast up to nowadays? We know about the following: Joe: Fear Factor host (extra coolness factor: humiliating WWE superstars when they come on the show) Maura : Abby Lockhart on ER Khandi: coroner on the upcoming CSI: Miami Vicki: married to a drunk. What's up with that? Did you see those pics of him getting a lapdance? She should marry me instead. What about everybody else? Someone give us updates!
Guest bob_barron Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Joe was also a guest host of the Carson Daly show. Jimmy was on a TV show a couple yrs ago (Ladies Man) and I think Dave does movies
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Stephen Root: voices on King of the Hill Andy Dick: MTV show (he's still doing it, right?)
Guest bravesfan Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Andy Dick is part of that new ABC fall comedy "Almost Perfect", which I'm pegging as the best new comedy for the fall season.
Guest areacode212 Posted September 18, 2002 Report Posted September 18, 2002 If you didn't see it on the news, there was an odd triple shooting in an office building in Times Square yesterday (involving some love triangle thing). What does this have to do with NR, you ask? Well, it appears that the building appears to be the exact same one used for the WNYX exterior shots (the building isn't located where the show is actually set, on 59th & Madison). How do ya like them apples?
Guest bob_barron Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 So I guess either Dave or Matthew snapped
Guest areacode212 Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 I wonder who Milos would've been involved in a love triangle with.
Guest bob_barron Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 Today- Matthew: And they call an elevator a lift Bill: I know Matthew: they call cookies biscuits Bill: Crazy people aren't they Matthew: And they call a flashlight a torch Bill: Yea well what do they call a torch? I love that exchange for some reason
Guest areacode212 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 In case you've all been distracted by that wrestling stuff on TNN, just wanted to remind everyone that Khandi's new show is on right now (CBS)!!
Guest bob_barron Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Get this- Sunday afternoon I was flipping channels and NEWSRADIO!~ was on. It was the one where Bill is newsdirector. I gotta find it next week. Today on A-n-E was the NR with Jerri from Survivor and THE BIG ROOM OF DOOM!
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted September 25, 2002 Report Posted September 25, 2002 Stephen Root currently has a re-accuring (sp) role now on "Grounded For Life" as Donal Logue's character's dad.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted September 25, 2002 Report Posted September 25, 2002 (This is in the newest TV Guide, the part called Worth Repeating or something. I'm paraphrasing because I'm sick and don't feel like getting up.) NewsRadio's Dave Foley on costars Phil Hartman and Andy Dick: "Phil's death was a huge shock to us. Andy's death we were prepared for." -The E! True Hollywood Story: Andy Dick.
Guest bob_barron Posted September 26, 2002 Report Posted September 26, 2002 Yesterday was the episode with Norm!!!! I hate though how A-n-E edits out a lot of the show. Dave saying 'per penis' and Bill subsequently calling Dave a 'penis' were edited out. Who was the penis that made that decision?
Guest Mattdotcom Posted September 26, 2002 Report Posted September 26, 2002 Mr. James is on the new $100,000 Pyramid~!!!!
Guest bob_barron Posted September 27, 2002 Report Posted September 27, 2002 Is Spaceguard Defender a real arcade game?
Guest bravesfan Posted September 27, 2002 Report Posted September 27, 2002 After yesterday's episodes, I just realized how much I love "President".
