Looking back, holy hell is there a dropoff past the top 10.

I don't crack the top 50? Bah! Though it's fitting that nearly five years I've been around here (god I'm a loser)...and I'm recognized for an avatar I've been using for a couple of months.
Story of my life.

It was James Mungro. He's more of a special teams guy, but it does cut the number of tailbacks down to two, Dominic Rhodes, who is decent, and the rookie.

Vinatieri's departure is one of the most overrated NFL departures I've heard. HE'S A KICKER! He's a very good kicker, but he's still a kicker.
The team isn't going to fall apart because they lost their kicker. That running trio of Dillon/Maroney/Faulk is going to cause a lot of problems and open up the field for Brady that much more. Ben Watson is going to have a monster season.

Pats are gonna win two divisions this year? Cool.
For some reason I think the Colts are going to have their hands full in their division. I'm even thinking that the Texans are going to steal a game from them in Houston. I just think that Harrison is on the decline and they are going to SORELY miss the Edge in the backfield, leading to Peyton throwing more and making more mistakes.
I'd also put the Bills above the Jets solely on the fact that the Bills are a bit better and will win the H2H games between them.

I wouldn't really compare Homecoming to a PPV. It had two matches that even approach PPV importance, two Russo-style TV matches, one typical post-attitude big TV match, and a whole lot of talking. Foley's return and the ladder match are the only things that could have significantly tributed to a buyrate, as I expect there will be another Angle/HBK match on PPV in the future. You had two gimmick matches that were booked as blowoffs (Edge/Matt and Angle/HBK, because they kept calling it "the rubber match" which usually signifies a deciding contest), the returns of three of the biggest superstars in the company's history, and they extended it to three hours. They even gave it a special name (Homecoming).
I'd say they were treating it like a psuedo-PPV

Well, the more recent systems have more moving parts and are a bit more sophisticated so their lifespan is shorter than systems like the NES, whose only real problem was dust getting into the system and carts.
I mean, I probably could go get it fixed, but since I'm not getting a PS3 for a few years, just getting one brand new (since I'm only paying half since it is a b-day present, which probably would be how much I would pay to get my old one fixed in the first place) is the best way to go.

Yeah, I put a lot of mileage on the thing. Now it won't even power up. I'm getting the new one as an early birthday present, so I figure that'll be better than getting my old one fixed but having it still crap out on me.

I demand royalties for that open.

I have one of those 24 hour stores right across the street from me. I have no earthly idea why anyone would take the overnight shift there because that's probably when you'd get the more unscrupulous customers, reeking of alcohol and/or pot or high on crack or something.
