Guest The Czech Republic Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 Tonight's Velocitity preview tells us the exact same matches we saw last week. Confidential promises the fall of WCW, which we were supposed to get last time, but was pre-empted so we could hear Bob Orton Sr. say Randy Orton is better than Lou Thesz. Post your thoughts here.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 I'm going to be captioning Kidman/FNK, so I hoping that both shows will be good. And, I can't wait to see the "Rise & Fall (& another Rise) of WCW".
Guest Trivia247 Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 4 hours until we see 3 great matches and the rest just Review of the Week crap and Shill o Mania
Guest bob_barron Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 Because my dream match is on tmrrw- I totally call one and only Heat thread
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 Mark Llyod is a pretty good announcer, though he makes Cole look like Ice Cube in comparison. The Rise and Fall of WCW is promised to be full of shit. "Vince Mcmahons creations go to WCW and make the company a success. Vince Mcmahon destroys WCW with his genius.... The End"
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 The Rise and Fall of WCW is promised to be full of shit. "Vince Mcmahons creations go to WCW and make the company a success. Vince Mcmahon destroys WCW with his genius.... The End" Yeah, after all, it was the genius of Ole Anderson, Dusty Rhodes, and Vince Russo that built WCW over the years!
Guest The Electrifyer Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 Wooohooo... we get to see Booker T's house! I wonder if he's got a hot daughter in his house like Al Snow.
Guest razazteca Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 I hate Mark Lloyd so much that I wish I could turn on SAP to listen to Hugo!!!!
Guest The Czech Republic Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 Maybe the fall fo WCW segemnt will just be a clip of David Arquette winning the title, and then cuts back to Gene "There you have it folks, when we return, a special look at the life of Linda Miles"
Guest The Superstar Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 I hope the WCW story is good...maybe they'll show Vince Russo and David Arquette winning the WCW Title! Vince: "So...do you WWE fans still think The Rock winning the WCW Title was prestigeous[sp]?"
Guest Flyboy Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 Maybe the fall fo WCW segemnt will just be a clip of David Arquette winning the title, and then cuts back to Gene "There you have it folks, when we return, a special look at the life of Linda Miles" That was golden, man. That and "in tents" have made you super cool.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 Yeah, after all, it was the genius of Ole Anderson, Dusty Rhodes, and Vince Russo that built WCW over the years! You get my point. It won't be about WCW at all, it will be about how Wwf did this, and how Wwf did that, and how it all effected WCW. The focus will always be on Vince. That *is* what confidential is for btw, furthering Mcmahonian history.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 In a perfect world, the segment will use the Ding-Dongs, We Want Flair, and all the Russo hijinx.
Guest Nevermortal Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Maybe they'll show THE SHOCKMASTER~!
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I hope they show the actual cattle prod Scott Hall shocked Goldberg with.
Guest razazteca Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I wanna see some footage of Hogan jobbing clean
Guest Flyboy Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I wanna see some of Hogan jobbing clean footage Watch Angle/Hogan.
Guest razazteca Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I am thinking of Goldberg and Luger are the only times in WCW
Guest Flyboy Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I am thinking of Goldberg and Luger are the only times in WCW I wouldn't really consider those "clean" since both had NWO interference (right)?
Guest The Czech Republic Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Holly and Albert, battle of dead weight. Did they re-do the SmackDown set or something, or have I just not watched in three months?
Guest Human Fly Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Is it just me, or is Albert getting fatter? JR needs to talk about him losing weight in the Ross Report.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Holly v. Albert.. for the Velocity title!
Guest Nevermortal Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 This match isn't afraid to suck.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Wooohooo... we get to see Booker T's house! I wonder if he's got a hot daughter in his house like Al Snow. Glad I wasnt the only one who thought Al Snow's daughter is hot.... Yep....
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I am thinking of Goldberg and Luger are the only times in WCW I wouldn't really consider those "clean" since both had NWO interference (right)? IIRC, Hogan jobbed clean to Goldberg. No interference that I recall. And Hogan tapped to the Torture Rack, so that's a clean loss, too. Although I think there was nWo interference, Hogan did lose clean
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 So Holly is still the Velocity Champion?
Guest The Czech Republic Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 That sure sucked... and WHY does SmackDown show Raw tour ads and vice versa? Reeeal competitive.
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I actually liked the commentator's put over Holly by basically mocking him for even trying the Slamma, and then doing the whole JR "Mah gawd he did it" thing. Course, the commentating before that was rather horrible. Nice to see them also mock Holly for trying to block Albert's punches to the head. Ugh.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 So Holly is still the Velocity Champion? yep
