I put bread in the fridge. It lasts longer.

It's funny you mention that, because my mother always did that and I never knew why since most houses I went to, people never put it in the fridge....

It doesn't taste as good after it's been in the fridge, but I don't mind because I mostly toast bread anyway. What sucks even more, imo, is wanting cereal then realizing that you're out of milk.

I stick mine in the freezer and just toast it.

On this subject, just a few hours ago, my roommate decided he wanted some toast with his dinner. I was in the living room watching TV and he was getting stuff ready and said he was going to have a shower before he ate. I went into the kitchen a minute or so later and he had taken the bag, and rather than just open it like a normal, sane person would, had just ripped the bag open in the middle and left it on the counter.

What the fuck is your thought process during this, is it too fucking hard to open a bag of bread normally?

I've done that before. That twisty-tie thingy can be tricky at times and all you want is a piece of toast then RAAAAAWR! Problem solved.
