Very much like S7 vs. S7 match-up, two of that season's best. Also cool that there's at least one ep from every season but 1 in there. The Gift(5) Conversations with Dead People(7) Becoming Pt 2(2) The Wish(3) - I hope this pulls the upset. I like it a smidge more than Hush--this one's maybe #2 or 3 overall for me, while Hush is #4 or 5.

One of my top 3 eps EVER. CWDP was a great first run episode. Now it's just full of dropped shit.

Buffy's storyline was to find out that Spike was feedingon humans again, which became the main story for the next couple eps. 2. Dawn's story was that she was told that in the end Buffy wouldn't choose her. And this leads to why Dawn kicks Buffy out of the house AND to why she was prepared to shock Xander and turn the car around. 3. Willow's storyline was to not only reveal the Big Bad but to also continue planting in her mind that she can't use magic. The First tried two things that failed in it's quest to win this season. First it tried to keep Willow from using magic...and we saw this lead to the first part of why the First lost. Second it tried to control Spike, which it couldn't do and that obviously led to the main reason that the first lost. I'm telling you, watch every ep in order and it all makes sense and it all flows into one cohesive story.

The three different stories were completely different in nature (Buffy and the Vamp: Lot's of Comedy, Dawn: Horror, Willow: Drama) but they flowed so well together and continued to build to the point where you couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next with each...and they'd keep switching to the next story at just the right moment.

It just seems like the meant for it to be so much more and didn't get around to it. And i remember reading a interview with Claire Kramer and she was talking about looking forward to having some more kick ass fighting scenes on the show. Yet, outside of the premire, she was never seen again. Despite what he says, I really have the feeling that Joss and the writers had no idea what they were going to do until Sarah said she no longer wanted to do the show...somewhere around the time when CWDP was being shot. I think that changed the plans and the direction of the show.

Her character's arc that season was COMPLETELY a result of CWDP. Not just in how it ended but throughout the entire show. Everyone has to watch this from start to finish...I'm telling you. It's phenomenal.

I started watching again in mid Season 4 to catch the Faith/Willow crossovers. Excellent, excellent shit. Also, the amulet that Angel gave to Buffy which was given to Spike was given to him at the season finale of Season 4 by Wolfram and Hart. I did catch the end of The Beast. Poor RRR. Dames

After that I lost interest and even if I wanted to watch it I could never remember when the show was on. If WB had left it at 9:00 on Tuesday I probably would have kept watching out of habit

If Angel comes on with the Dawsons Creek theme next year with Angel and Wesly pining over Fred for the next 5 years, I swear to GAWD.....
