  1. I'd know I'd do if my opponent could take a serious beating, but I think kicking the guy in the balls is illegal in MMA...
  2. Same here. Koscheck will HAVE to get more agressive than he was in his last fight. Kinda hoping that Forrest is healed by his fight, but based on the timeline, he'd only have a week between stitching and weigh-in, so I'd say that Bobby is fighting. I don't know much about Sam Hogar, so I'll guess Bobby wins. I think Stephan Bonnar should beat Mike Swick. Swick, IIRC, moved up in weight, so he might be at a disadvantage there. Plus, he looks like Joe Rogan, and I dunno if that would EVER make me root for him. Man, I'm totally stretching for something there. Finals: Diego over Kenny, Bobby over Stephan.
  3. btw, I was gonna say it was a lucky shot, but as Kenny put it, he saw the opening, and took it. Koscheck: "I've never shown him 100%" No shit. If that match against Leben was 100%, you'd be smoked like other two.
  4. On the replay, that was a nice elbow from Kenny. And I'm impressed with the way he absorbed the punishment.
  5. Kenny is totally playing into Leben's game. I guess that's inexperience?
  6. Kept thinking he was going to, but it was like he was giving too much respect to Leben's punches.
  7. Um, yeah. I think Leben won that round. Florian's trying to get him punched out, right?
  8. Now why the hell didn't Fratboy do that against Koscheck?
  9. Kenny's only had 4 fights? Nice ass on the ring girl...
  10. I didn't say that. I said that looking back at it, neither decision was controversial. In hindsight, Leben deserved to lose. His fight style is standing up, throwing bombs and getting the KO. He didn't do it. In hindsight, Southworth deserved to lose. Bonnar did more on the ground, was more aggresive, Bobby was more reactionary, and the judges didn't like that.
  11. Southworth's decision loss was controversial while Leben's wasn't. Southworth's loss, to me, was just as controversial as Leben's. That is, when you look at it, not at all. They left it to the judges, and neither guy really showed too much in their eyes, and so, they lost.
  12. Ah, Josh Koscheck, hypocrite. Leben comes back and it's bad because he beat him, but Bobby's back and it's good because he deserves a second shot. I hope Diego whips his laying and praying ass.
  13. Fuck, is Koscheck STILL whining about Fratboy being back?
  14. Yeah, that's gotta suck.
  15. Fratboy is probably right. Nothing at this point is likely to hurt Forrest's career...
  16. Unless your name is Marc Mero, heels don't have popular valets. The reasoning may or may not be there but he had to cut that tie. I was actually hoping he would do it. So was I. Stacy took the RKO real well, I thought.
  17. Also, if she'd watched season 2, she'd know that Jack Bauer can't die...
  18. All the same, I'd rather get it signed in person...
  19. And Jack... intentionally stabs himself?
  20. Hey, Chloe's back...
  21. Landsberg is great when he goes for the tough questions. And I've always wondered why ESPN doesn't copy this format instead of gimmick-laden stuff like (Jim) Rome is Burning, PTI and ATH...
  22. Kevin J Anderson seems to be the Chuck Austen of the Star Wars Universe. He's got some good stuff - again, the entire Sith mythology - but he's really spotty with everything else. I think we save that for the wrestling forums...
  23. I'd agree with that. But of course, a writer has a 300 page novel to write, and can do these things, whereas Lucas can (try to) describe through the visual medium. I'd also say that Lucas has deliberately left the Dark Side as open to interpretation, so while it's one thing to one author, it's something else to another. Hubris is a common theme in mythology, and in real life as well, so attributing that to the Dark Side may not be entirely correct. It might be more accurate to say that the Dark Side enhanced Palpatine's sense of infalliability. But, of course, see the previous point. Seriously? Must be Anderson's obsession with Death Stars. Hmm, about the only author that I'd say could truly be called a "fanboy" is Aaron Allston. I would agree. Love him or hate him, Lucas is the guy that drives the Star Wars empire, and it wouldn't be Star Wars without him.
  24. All the same, the Savage ring bell to the throat still stands (to me) as one of the best oversells of all time. Flair should retire, and then he and Steamboat could be inducted into the same class...
  25. Help me out - was that the Torture Rack-to-neckbreaker? IIRC it's a cross between a chokeslam and a powerbomb So, Albertbomb/Baldobomb/Meshugganator then? Just thought of another lame name - D'Amorelizer, which sounds much cooler when it's called the WhipLash for some reason.
