Well wait.......Colby was just as awesome as Tom is. He just picked the wrong person to take to the final 2. Which was funny b/c my seat in the theater was next to Tina and I asked her if she thanked Colby for taking her and she said "I bought him a motorcycle!" Shit that must've been a nice motorcycle. But yes Tom not winning would've been a travesty. I was hoping Tom or Ian would win and I wanted a Tom vs. Ian showdown but I didn't get it. Damn. I was waiting for Ian and Katie to just start making out....the tension was there!

You know I really seriously don't want to see Seattle in the Western conference finals. I have no joy out of watching them play. I typically love to watch the Spurs and it has been painful for me to watch them play Seattle. Don't ask why but I don't like them. And I really can't explain why. Nothing about their style offends me or is even bad. I don't know. Anyways any chance Miami sweeps there way to the finals? I mean probably not b/c of Detroit or Indy but wouldn't that be something? Hell has a team every swept through the playoffs and finals?

Wow Crono is up there. But who's the worst is just a fad. If it was election season one of the Current Events posters would be up there. If it were football season I'd be at the top. But since everyone has been getting pissed by Crono lately he's winning.

Well I hate Reggie Miller so I can. And I like the Pistons. They aren't my favorite team but my fav is gone(at the hands of the pacers i might add) so I'm rooting for the Pistons. I thought your favorite team was out at the hands of the Maveri aw fuck I can't keep track anymore No....I never said they were my favorite team. I said I liked them a lot but the Celtics have always been my favorite team.

Part of it. That and I like the way they're a complete team and just every guy on that team is cool. Seriously I do not dislike one guy on that team. Oh back to the Lebron/Wade thing *dammit I will force this topic into discusssion* I really think in the long run Wade could be a more special player than Lebron. Wade has really stepped his game up in the playoffs and I think he could turn into a Mr. April/May/June type(too many damn months!!!).

Seriously I'm getting tired of the same cookie cutter frat and sorority jerks and bitches. I mean I could go to any frat house at any college around the country and see the same shit I'm seeing on these shows. I can, actually. And I'm quite a bit shorter than you, about 7-8 inches, I think. What's also strange is that I wear glasses, but I'm an excellent 3-point shooter as well. "White Spud Webb" indeed. And you're probably in quite a bit better shape than me too. I dunno I can go for a while for a fat guy though. I can run the floor and wear out my skinnier friends. I think it's because I'm more active. I walk everywhere, I used to play Rugby, I try to remain active, and I play basketball now like everyday. I just have a gut b/c I eat crap. Meanwhile all they do is play video games and eat crap. I can also run faster than all of them which is funny to see a large man with a beer gut chasing down a little skinny guy. Anyways I need to work on that damn dunk. I'm so fucking close!

Speaking of the Oilers.....I kind of miss them. I was never a fan but it kind of sucks that they were moved to Tennessee. Do the Titans trace their lineage back to the Oilers? Like for history and stuff? And do the Ravens trace there's back to the original Browns?

Ok here's another question. Who are some players that turned out to be legends or great players that weren't hyped at all?

Yeah but I mean was he hyped as good as he was going to be? Did people think he was going to be the greatest player ever when he came in or was it like "Hey this dude rules!"

So the other thread is players that didn't live up to the hype and weren't great. But what players were hyped and lived up to it? For me personally it's Adrian Peterson. Around here last summer he was being hyped as the second coming of jesus. People said he was going to be an immediate impact player on OU's offense and that he was going to have a great season. I was skeptical that he would be that good at all and I thought he might be over-hyped. Then he showed up and well you all know how his season went and he finished 2nd in Heisman voting as a Freshman. So yeah he lived up to his hype. So who else in sports history has?

Well the program started out alright back in the early 1900's but wasn't really anything worth a damn until Bud Wilkinson showed up. And then of course there were years of moderate success and then Barry Switzer showed up and turned them into a powerhouse again. But after Switzer we had John Blake and Howard Schnellenberger(or however the hell it is spelled). They both sucked. Blake sucked the worst though. He won something like 12 games in 4 years. The program was getting bitch slapped by schools like Kansas and struggling with Baylor. That was until Stoops showed up. So yeah the 90's are considered the dark ages around here. Though if you listen to the way people talk around here the past 2 years are the dark ages. Although we won as many games this year as Blake did in 4 so yeah.... When was Miami's downtime? Like when did they suck and when did they come on the scene as a powerhouse?
