Well according to Brad Edwards on ESPN.com OU is a solid #1 in ALL of the computer rankings and will not budge for the rest of the season. Which means that they may just be able to hold Auburn off even if Auburn becomes #2 in both polls.

So cheats don't actually damage your game file and make the game unplayable or anything? Excellent.

I used to workout everyday whenever I played rugby. But I've dropped off since then. My weight is still hanging around 250 for some reason though. But I really need to get back into the gym. I used to use that elyptical like there was no tomorrow. You know the thing where you're basically pedaling standing up. I'd put that thing on maximum incline and resistance and go at it for 30 minutes.

No, it'd show that White isn't the best QB in college --- much less the best player. -=Mike ...Alex Smith should be in the running, but the voters hate smaller schools, right? I will agree that Smith is very good. But White is ONE of the if not THE best QB in college fb. His numbers speak for themself. The fact that he has come back form the injuries and especially after the injuries and heartbreak he endured at the end of last year and then he was able to come back and have a year that is close to what he was having last year is amazing. The guy is a good player and he deserves the Heisman trophy at this point in the season. I mean his numbers aren't 40 TDs and 5 INTs like last year but they're 28 TD's and 4 INTs. Including 4 straight games with at least 3 TD passes. Not to mention he completed 18 consecutive passes and is the reason OU is in undefeated and is the reason they were able to beat OSU and the reason they were able to come back against A&M. The guy is the MVP of his team and I can't really think of another QB aside from Smith that is that good. Hell I can't think of another player that is as valuable to his team and does what White does. Hell the only two players I think that are close to challenging White for the Heisman are Smith b/c he is damn good and Bush b/c he's the best player on the #1 team and the reason they are #1. If Leinhart wins it.....then there is a serious problem with the voters. He's not even the best player on his team.

I remember before the Big XII Title game last year one of the objections to White winning it was "He'll never make it in the NFL" and I believe I've heard that objection on the radio this year. Well when did the Heisman become a "You'll be the best NFL player!" award. As a matter of fact very few Heisman trophy winners even make it in the NFL do they?
-
Well I think Jason White has finally proven that he is the reason OU is undefeated and that without him they wouldn't be where they were. For the 5th straight week he's commanded OU's offense and been the one to drive the game, not AD. If anyone on OU gets that Heisman Trophy it should be Jason White. Hell if any QB gets the Heisman it needs to be Jason White. If Matt Leinhart gets it over White then it's showing a bias against White and what happened last year.
-
And I think Kotz the reason OU hasn't dominated the Big XII like they have in the past is A) they're a different offense. It's easy to score 70 when all you do is throw. But when AD running the ball is 80% of your offense you don't put up those huge numbers. But you eat the clock which is what OU is very good at. Just b/c the score is gigantic doesn't mean they didn't take care of business. B) The Big XII South is just plain better than it has been in the past. Plus KSU has something going on that allows them to just play OU close no matter what. I think it's purple....like kryptonite to OU or something. They did get beat by Northwestern in the 90's. Granted OU sucked in the 90's but it's still something to think about. OU is playing TCU next season I believe. Look for the upset b/c of the color purple. But that's why they haven't been handling people like they have in the past. The reason the defense gave up 70 in 2 games is that they were playing good offenses that can do both pass and run. And their best corner was injured! Nebraska had no shot last night with Perkins back out there. People seem to forget their best secondary player went down against Texas. Oh and on top of that their best secondary player probably ever, Derrick Strait, moved on to the NFL this year! It's hard to replace someone like that.
-
And on top of that OU's proven that they're a more complete football team than they were last year. Down on the road against a good team last year? They got beat. Down against a great team on the road this year? They came back and won. And how do we know Auburn isn't suffering from 2004 OU syndrom? Where they lead every game all year and aren't challenged and when they are finally challenged they fold? We'll see if they get challenged. I just think OU's proven that they're a more complete football team and are good enough to win the national title and I DO think they can beat USC and Auburn.
-
OU's schedule is ranked as the toughest and that's what I'm going off of Igg. They have beaten 4 Top 25 teams and 3 of those were away from home. And whatever you say they handled Texas pretty solidly. OU deserves to be in the National Title game.....it's that simple. Do Auburn and USC? Yes. Does OU deserve to be bounced? No. Plus I don't believe any of you are giving the Big XII south the credit it deserves. It's got 5 very good teams in it and OU has beaten all of them. And only one of them they beat at home(Tech). So no OU doesn't deserve to be bounced. They've got the best QB out their aside from maybe Alex Smith and they have the best recieving core. I'm jumping at the chance to see what they can do against that Auburn defense b/c I think it'll be interesting.
-
So we got beat? You act as if OU lost on purpose. Should OU have not been in the title game? Sure. Could they do anything about it? No.
-
Then A&M was poorly coached. Anytime a coach says "this game doesn't matter to us", he's a bad coach. Well you'll get no argument from me. I do not like Franchione. I think he's arrogant and I think he is a bad coach. Sure he's done some good things with A&M this year but I mean look at his first year with them. And he's got all the talent in the world down there.
-
Then again I guess if Auburn wins out they're going to the title game and there isn't a damn thing I can do about it. Sucks though that my team has to be screwed out of a title that they deserve to play for. Maybe the voters are just trying to prove a point after last year's debacle which I might add wasn't our fault and was out of our hands. So if they're trying to punish OU for that it's a travesty b/c OU couldn't do anything about it. But they seem to want to blame us. I guess I'll just have to do with OU being undefeated and having a Fiesta Bowl crown and hopefully being the catalyst to a change in the system. I have a feeling that if a team like OU gets screwed then they will take a harder look at the system than they did last year. With the tradition at OU and the fact that aside from Miami it's probably the most elite program in the country so with them getting screwed the powers that be may look harder at what happens. Maybe I should hope for OU to get left out so the system is changed. Then again I want White to have his national title. And the fact that he's on track to another Heisman makes it worse.
-
If I ever acquire an AP vote you can damn sure bet I'll do my best to look at the whoel game and not the score. This having to run up the score for the voters crap is just wrong.
-
And according to the Gameday guys there is a 26% chance that all 3 teams will be undefeated come season end. The odds are against Auburn right now. But stranger things have happened. But dropping OU for winning? That's not right. OU deserves to be in the title game. And they are given flack for beating OSU by 3? OSU is a GOOD team and on top of that it was on the road and it is a more heated rivalry than OU/Texas. People don't seem to understand that aspect. Oh and on top of that OU is probably going to have a Heisman trophy winner on their roster AGAIN. White just seperated himself from the other QB's this past weekend.
-
Didn't A&M's coach comment that he didn't care about Baylor and didn't care about losing to them? That right there shows that he was waiting for OU. A&M had prepared all offseasn and season for OU.
-
The Utah deal? Good. I hope they pass Texas because A) I hate Texas B) I like Utah. I think Utah can hang with the big boys. They are a complete football team and with the way they slam those mid-major teams I think they could throw their weight around in some big conferences. Also I'm not having a freak attack over Auburn gaining just b/c.....I knew it would happen. I've prepared myself for it.

ESPN's problem is that their sports analysts are no different than everyone on this board. We all think we're right and are willing to go to great lengths to not change our mind. Same thing with all of their analysts. They have their favorite teams and refuse to budge on their positions. Difference between us and then is that they give more petty jabs at each other than we do.
-
No Trev Alberts is annoying b/c he's a hypocrite. One week he's like "I don't think Utah has the wins to make it to a BCS bowl. They're just not that impressive." Then he goes to do his Top 25 at the end of the show and he's like "Utah has to be 6! They have to be Top 10!" Well if you think they aren't impressive then why are you so desperate to rank them so high? He's been hypocritical before to. Him and Lee Corso change their tune on EVERY team hourly.

*double post*

But OU has had impressive wins. They've beaten 3 Top 25 teams and 2 of those were on the road. And Texas is a Top 10 team. As much as you say "They don't deserve to be!" fact is they ARE ranked in the Top 10 and OU shut them out.
-
Who did Auburn play non-conference? Oh yeah nobody. OU's non conference schedule was originally as bad as Auburns. Hell they were going to play Florida A&M. But OU's AD decided that they needed a better non conference schedule and that's why he sought out Oregon. Because Oregon was a good team last year. Nobody knew they would blow this year.

He did try to run it up. I was there dude. It was 4th down and they could've kicked a field goal but instead they tried to take a shot at the end zone with like 40 seconds left. You could blame it on the crowd chanting "GO!" but we didn't start chanting go until after White stayed on the field. I knew they were going for it b/c after the 3rd down he just looked at Bob Stoops for what seemed like an hour. He just stood there away from everyone didn't even make a move for the sidelines and then everyone started chanting "GO!" when he walked back to the huddle. Stoops is under the impression that he needs to run up the score on everyone now so that when the voters look at the final score they would see that OU won by a bigger margin. Which is true. A lot of voters only look at the final score. So yes they did try to run it up. But if he would've kicked the field goal it would've looked like OU 33 Nebraska 0. As opposed to OU 30 Nebraska 3. And the only reason Nebraska was able to kick that field goal was b/c OU recieved a 15 yard penalty because the fans were throwing Oranges onto the field. It was hilarious. The OU and Nebraska players plus the cheerleaders, refs, and rufneks were picking Oranges up off the field. Stoops walked out into the middle of the field and waved his arms for everyone to stop......and they did. Hehehe......one man with power over 84,000 people, amazing. A lot of people there were grumbling about Nebraska even kicking the field goal. A lot of people felt it was a chickenshit maneuver. Then again they would've never kicked it had we just kicked a field goal or hell downed the ball on 2nd and 3rd down.
-
Really? Because it seems that the rest of the board is like a brick wall when it comes to OU. "OU is deserving." "NO! LALALALA! THEY SUCK!"
-
Still OU does not deserve to be #3. They beat 2 Top 25 teams on the road 2 weeks in a row. Meanwhile I will admit that Auburn is just as deserving. And USC is deserving. The problem that we've run into is that the system is flawed. God damn this system we're forced to work with. It's almost as if we're going to have to have a split champion AGAIN. Although I know that won't happen. But the system doesn't support 3 undefeated teams that are all deserving. Fucking BCS.......
-
As Herbstreit pointed out. OU's 3 biggest wins have come against ranked teams on the road. Auburns biggest win has come at home. USC's biggest win has come at home. OU played the toughest road schedule.
