    Ah GOD TEH SNOW

Like the ability to go lay out on the grass on a sunny day in the shade of your favourite tree without getting frostbite? I'm with Wyld Cannon. Fall is the season for me.

    Ah GOD TEH SNOW

Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot that snow is plowed from the roads the second it hits the ground. No one ever gets stuck on the road in the middle of a friggin' blizzard, snowing so hard you can't see anything except white. Not ever. Nope. And I mean, it's not like I live out in the middle of bumblefuck nowhere so we sometimes have to wait days before our road gets plowed. No, that never happens. I mean, I agree that bad drivers add to the danger, but driving on snow is a pain in the ass. I guess I missed the part where we're only allowed to complain about things the first time they piss us off.

    Ah GOD TEH SNOW

What's to "get" about snow hate? It's wet. It's cold. It makes the roads dangerous. Some of us have to work outside. Like, what aren't you getting here?

Child Arrested After Opening Holiday Gift Early

I'm flabbergasted that they actually arrested this kid. Like, around here, kids cannot get arrested. Doesn't matter what you do, if you're under 18, nothing bad will happen to you. There's been cases of kids stealing cars and joyriding them around the city on five or six different occasions, getting caught, and yet still somehow managing to be on the streets again, to joyride again, only the next time he did it he killed someone's mother. It's fucked up.

    Full Screen, Widescreen or Widescreen?

I'm nowhere near picky enough to know the difference between widescreen formats. All I know is, I want to see the movie as it was originally made. I *hate* seeing something in fullscreen and knowing that there's supposed to be more stuff for me to see, but I can't see it. Ever tried watching Star Wars in full screen? You can't even read the opening crawl, fer fucks sake.

    Iron Maiden

Redbaron: You can find good tracks on both Blaze albums, NPFTD, AND St. Anger, but can't find a single tune you like on AMOLAD? I think you need to listen to the CD again.

    What is up with this?

This is from the Black Friday thread. What's going on here? This isn't the first time I've seen this happen, and this wasn't the only spot. The whole thread from about there on looks totally messed-up to me. Am I the only person getting this, and if so, why?

    Prison Break

I would not be surprised to find out that his lawyer works for the Company, just the way he said something like "When the system wants you, they're going to get you." At least, I hope he did, otherwise that little subplot makes NO FRIGGIN' SENSE.

Refute this statement and I'll tear you a new asshole

I think you're thinking of something else. I'm pretty sure it was an MTV show, about this school populated by the clones of various famous people. I really wish it had gone on for more seasons, just because there's so many potential jokes you can make when basically every historical figure ever has a reason to be on your show.

WON News + Notes for TNA

I didn't realize that getting caught in a kimura and then having a ref do a fast count for you so you don't look like a total moron was "dominating".

X3: Last Stand DVD Details and Covers

Wait... The ability to make anything explode just by touching it isn't an exciting power? And neither is being nigh-unkillable, with razor-sharp claws that can cut through anything? That's not exciting? WTF? They really shoulda just cut X-Men 3 in two, with the Pheonix story being in 3, and the Cure being in 4.

    ever regret missing a show?

No, because anytime there's a show I want to see, I will do everything in my power to see it. Concerts here (especially good ones) are few and far between, so you gotta get while the getting's good. I did want to relate something a buddy of mine did though. Back in 2000, he skipped going to the Misfits concert, despite being a big Misfits fan. Why? Because he had a paper to write. Here's the kicker: When we got to class, he realized that the paper he'd skipped the Misfits concert to write wasn't even due for like, a week. Poor bastard.

    Prison Break

I'm thinking that the company might somehow be behind Bellick getting busted for the murder; I dunno, maybe punishment because everyone got out under his guard? Anyway, it at least better be; the whole time Bellick was chatting with the cops after his cover was blown, I kept waiting for him to say "Check the hotel room for forensic evidence. You'll find T-Bag's blood, T-Bag's prints (probably on the receipt), but not a single fingerprint, strand of hair, or so much as a skin cell from me because I was never even in that hotel room in the first place!" Besides, if the cops really did some checking around, they might even be able to find those hookers who could ID T-Bag. Really good episode outside of that.

    Once again a hello

Oh, don't look so shocked. The name alone gives it away, really. "I need a clever new alias...one that's nothing like WP...hey, Heartbreaker!"

    Iron Maiden

I still fail to see how someone who doesn't listen to Iced Earth not knowing who the former lead singer of Iced Earth is has anything to do with well...anything. Of course people who listen to metal know all those vocalists, because they're the vocalists for some of the biggest metal bands to ever exist. I mean, if I popped in a Trivium CD, and heard their singer, I'd probably say "who the fuck is this guy" too. It doesn't mean he's a bad singer; it just means I have no idea who he is because I don't listen to Trivium. And I just don't see what that has to do with anything besides my own personal ignorance. Anyway, on Maiden..who is it that sings backup live these days? I probably should know this but I don't...anyway, I just wanted to say that on the live version of Paschendale, whoever it is that is doing those background vocals does a good job. You know, on the "The bodies are ours and our foes" bit. Good stuff.

Incredible Hulk Movie Announced for June 27, 2008

I actually liked the way that they changed the Hulk's origin. I mean, open-air nuclear tests are a thing of the past, so it'd have looked kinda silly for them to be doing that. Yet they managed to have his origin be pretty close (Banner throws himself in path of nuclear experiment to save bystander), and then they built on that. I liked how they mentioned that his genetics were different as a result of the stuff his father did, so Banner was affected by the gamma blast differently then anyone else would have been. Though I agree that they should just do a sequel, not a re-boot. A re-boot means they have to tell the origin again; a sequel means they can jump right into the action. And seriously, it's THE HULK. If there's gonna be any superhero movie that's just smash-em-up violence, it should be the Hulk.

    LOST

A plane crashes on an island in the middle of nowhere. Some 40-odd survivors try to...well...survive, despite the fact that the island they've landed on has a lot of weird shit going on.

    Iron Maiden

I don't get this comment, mostly because it seems like something that should be obvious and count for every musician. I mean, if someone who didn't listen to metal heard Iron Maiden, they probably wouldn't know Bruce Dickinson's name either, but I don't really think that means anything. It just means they're not a fan.

    LOST

Here's how: It's almost getting to the point that they could've had the first season end with Jack, Kate, and Saywer being kidnapped instead of Walt, then had Walt and Micheal get eaten by a shark, and then just jumped right into season 3. I mean, I'm not saying it is pointless, because there was some neat stuff in there, but I think that's a problem with the show. And no, I'm not being literal, so don't point out all the little holes I missed. Also, bizare theory: Locke asked Eko what he saw, and we know Eko saw the cloud of smoke. Locke, however, claimed to see a brilliant white light, or something like that. Maybe they didn't see the same thing. Yes yes, it is possible that it is just one monster making itself look different, but then I thought that doesn't make sense, because as I saw it, Locke was being told to do things (like push the button) also. But he didn't get killed when he stopped. So, maybe Locke was actually getting instruction from this other creature, who eventually decided that the Hatch was no longer needed. Why? Well, perhaps it wants the people to get found, or something. I dunno. But I do know that, as silly as it may sound, it reminds me a hell of a lot of Locke's speech in the first season. "Two players. Two sides. One is light. One is dark." Further, I think that might explain why the monster killed the pilot - the smoke monster *doesn't* want people getting off the island, and the pilot had the best chance of contacting someone from the outside world, cuz he actually knew how to work all the radios and transponders and such. But all that could easily be me reading too much into things.

    LOST

I figure that the smoke told Eko that he was supposed to make sure the button got pressed, and since he failed, he died.

    HEY Mole

Since when is being a pain in the ass not a good reason to get rid of somebody? It's a message board, not a friggin' democracy.

    Account Theft

No it isn't. If you can't see the world of difference between "Here, have this password and go fuck around with it" and "I think I'll steal this person's account so I can cheat in meaningless online polls" then there's no help for you.

    Account Theft

Are we seriously assuming that Leena just somehow, of the top of her head, GUESSED the passwords of 36 different accounts? Like, seriously?
