That's just WWF BS, though. The ACTUAL WCW US title is buried in the lineage of the World title, along with like, 5 other belts.
-
Honestly now...how DID they do the buried alive match, and the hand coming up at the end? I'm assuming that there was a trap door in the side of the grave, so that 'Taker just crawled through there...But the hand? Does anyone know? Dammit, now someone's gonna give me some answer and I'm gonna go "fuck, I'm a dummy for not realizing that..."

I've been trying to download the third CD to no avail. Damn Kazaa.
-
For the record, the 3-CD Alive in Athens is only available in Europe, because they wanted to keep the costs down State-side. Course, they're more popular in Europe, so they didn't have to worry about that. Though I have heard of the 3-CD set floating around...I know this one guy who told me he has it, but I've yet to see proof.

I'm so happy this song is on the list. This song rules.
-
They call it the World Title because the SD belt is the WWE title. If they called it the WWE World Title, then it'd just make the WWE title look silly and pointless.

If anyone remembers the Peacekeepers for the SNES... It was one of those side-scrolling punching games, like a double dragon kinda thing. Anyway, one of the characters had a bazooka on his back. Me and my bud were convinced there HAD to be a way to use it, but we never did... And come to think of it, I'm going to Gamefaqs...
-
No. not quite in cases. I'd just use it as a basic rule of thumb - not totally required, but it could help out.
-
Well, considering that Infectious Grooves and later Suicidal Tendencies are basically the same band...
-
Ah, but that's just one part of the music, and it doesn't work in all circumstances (For example, power metal is metal, and it generally sounds happy). That's just, like, the EZ guide to "is it hard rock or metal?" And no, I wouldn't call Korn metal.

Counter-point to Lesnar. He's been in the fed what? 2 years? Not even? That's NOT enough time to judge how "great" he is. He could drop dead tommorrow and never be spoken of again. I think that in order to be considered among the greats, you should have a career that spans a few years - not two.
-
I've heard more recent Suicidal Tendencies called the same.
-
Ooops. You said 19, but somehow, I read that as 18, where he beat Jericho then lost to Hogan shortly after. Maybe that's because I never bothered to watch WM 19...
-
According to others on the music board, we already have. Apparantly, death metal is all anyone ever talks about here....
-
I was actually talking about WM 2000...I forgot he lost the belt a month later both times, to be honest.

If nothing else, Yoko served as a great example of what a TRUE heel champion should be. He was a big, unstoppable BEAST. I mean, if someone got on an offensive move on him, that was a big deal. Fuck, for a while, if someone knocked him over, it was a big deal. He was the guy that nobody could beat for a while, so that when Bret did beat him, it was a huge fucking deal.
-
I didn't mean depressing lyrics soley - more just a depressing, gloom and doom feel to the music overall.
-
Always remember - Yoko was that fucking big, yet he could somehow bust out a superkick. Nothing wrong with Yokozuna.

Bret Hart returns..*in action figure* form!
The Metal Maniac replied to The Mandarin's topic in Video Games
'Taker always had a tie in his deadman outfits, though he took it off before the match. Though to be honest, I can't rightly recall if it should be striped or a solid color. I wanna say solid, though. Some of the figures on this page are very well-done though, I must say.... -
Yeah. The face virtually ALWAYS wins the big match, because WM is the payoff show for the year, basically. Gotta send 'em home happy. That's why Nash and Hogan defended the belt successfully; they were the faces in their matches. HHH? I dunno what the fuck was up with that, considering he lost the belt at the next PPV anyways... MWAHAHAHAHAHA....Angelslayer, that's the greatest thing I've seen in the past hour...

Benoit's never been a World champ in the fed (which is all that matters to the fed), nor has he ever been at the top of the card for any length of time. To backtrack...someone said that HBK didn't belong on the list. Justify that, please. Also, I think that Razor does belong, because he's like, THE Intercontinental champion. He had some pretty decent feuds over it with some pretty good people, and this was when that belt mattered. And Anglesault, thanks...I had forgotten that Angle and Benoit had won the tag belts. But somehow, I'm not surprised that YOU corrected me...

The worst part is, even with a convention of just 8 or 9 of us, we'd STILL never reach an agreement on anything, because I know that guys like Agent, NM and Thumbtack like totally different styles of metal then people like myself, and possibly Laz and Redbaron. I'm pretty sure you guys are both into at least some powery-type stuff, (I'm pretty sure you both like Maiden, but I don't know how far that goes) but I dunno all your favourite bands off the top of my head (Well, maybe Laz's). Though I do agree that Agent would have to be the head, on account of he's the only person who I've ever seen admit that while he doesn't like Maiden, even he agrees that they're very fucking talented. And if not for him, I would have never head "Scream of the Butterfly". I love you, man.
-
Sort of, but not really. I know that there's good reasons that AC/DC isn't metal. I may not be totally sure what the overall concensus of why they're not is (though I really do like Laz's theory that in order to be metal, it must be birthed from another form of metal, and someone else pointed out in the other thread that hard rock is basically party music, while metal is more depressing) so I'm not going to come right out and state that AC/DC isn't metal because they don't sound like metal to me. I've heard many people say that AC/DC isn't metal. I don't know all the reasons they give for it. But I do know that they sure as hell don't sound like heavy metal. They sound like rock. So that's the reason I give. Is it subjective? Yeah, kinda. Does that mean it's a totally subjective issue? Nope. Man, these threads really need to be one...

It's irrelevant what people THINK. The TRUTH is, he was. He's also held more WWF title belts then anyone. He's held the World, Tag, IC, Euro, Hardcore (For like, two minutes, but still) and technically the cruiserweight belt (I say technically because the WWE cruiserweight belt is just the old WCW cruiserweight belt, which Jericho held). Edit: I just had a thought - is that still true, or did Angle catch up to him? I knew that Angle was close, but I can't recall if he ever completed it. In any event, Jericho was first at it, though.
-
He's a heel. Of course they were. That aside, he's STILL the first-ever Undisputed Champion. I'd say he belongs.
