It wasn't a t.v. movie either. It was released theatrically. Julie Newmar is replaced as Catwoman by Lee Meriwhether as she was already under contract to star in MacKenna's Gold with Gregory Peck.
Burgess Meredith > Danny Devito
It's not a comedy central original. It's an indie flick which has been making the festival rounds this year and has been getting pretty decent reviews from what I've heard. It's going into limited release in theaters like next week, so I have no idea why it showed up on Comedy Central last night. I'm sure they'll show it like 600 more times before I finish typing this.

In reality they wanted the Ultimate Warrior to be the Scorpion. They also considered the Angel of Death who was under cotract to them at the time, but nobody would know who the hell he was.
I saw a bit of it one day and it just looked so stupid. The idea is to derive humor out of the stupid situations, but you never get to know the contestants and therefore can't build up feeling for them in hoping they do well. At least with extreme elimination challenge they have more hooks to get you into the show and laughing.

I've seen Jekyll and Hyde live with Chuck Jackson, so I'm sure Hasselhoff would be a step up for me.
