Although it just came out, I'd have to give props to New Adventure Island on the TG-16. I loved the Adevture Island games back in the day; the sense of urgency, and the sheer insanity of some of the platforming, where you have no choice but to run fast. I'd say it's somewhat easier than Kid Icarus.

To be fair, SNK has said they publish on the Wii because Sony and Microsoft don't want retail 2D games on their consoles, and XBLA previously had a 50 megabyte limit. Now, Neo Geo games will be on all three systems. Plus, they're on Gametap. I don't care, whatever it takes to get KoF XI over here.

The only thing I can think about is that I realized that both of you are in my Wii Friends list. I wish that led to something more, but it really doesn't.

Trauma Center is great. I don't own it because I have the DS version, which is basically the same game, but the last 15% of the Wii version of the game is completely different, and provides a real ending to the game. It's at least worth a rent or a Gamefly or what have you. I felt the Wii version was easier than the DS version for two reasons: 1. The Wii remote is never as precise as a stylus, so allowances have to be made. 2. I already knew how to beat 90% of the missions, especially Triti, which is the virus with the thorns and the triangular patterns and sheer utter pain and I think it's slightly easier in the Wii version thank god.

Sadly, Killer Instinct really was a terrible game.

More details about Gyakuten Saiban 4 (Ace Attorney 4 for you non-weaboos): Winston Payne, the Judge, and are not the only returning characters.

Go to the Wii Ware section of the Wii Shop channel. New channel for download: the Everybody Votes Channel. It's free. No idea what this is. I'm downloading this now... I have no fucking idea at all. Damn, it requires a system update. It appears the system update adds a "Region of Residence" option. Oh wow. You vote on stuff. Using Mii's. By dropping them where you want to vote. Huh. The votes are sent over Internet. You can predict which repsonse gets more votes, etc. At least it's free. I could see this being a casual sort of thing. Actually, I think this could get addicting. Woah, you can suggest your own questions.

I got this, and for data's sake, I got my Wii on launch day. Good info for people who live under a rock, but I already got my replacement straps.

Looks cool, although the DW sprite seems a tad on the large side. And source plz on Guilty Gear? GameSpot who got in from GameFly. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core is in my Game Queue as of now.

Where did you get this from? i was trying to find it last night and couldn't, but i did pick up the double cd with the music from the Ace Attorney and Justice For All for 28 quid shipped from Japan. From BitTorrent.

If anyone's interested in more Phoenix Wright media goodness, I got my hands on the Gyakuten Saiban Orchestral Album. Your favorite Phoenix Wright music done by an actual orchestra. It's actually quite good. The music covers Gyakuten Saiban 1-4. Yes, they have the theme for 4 in the album.

I am thinking; I don't get it. Or I don't want to.

We get a blue light on Saturday; Nintendo sends out a letter saying "Update your Console" and you get the News channel.

Does anyone besides the three people on the Wii numbers list (which includes me) own Elebits? I really wanna start trading levels, etc.
-
Both. If you are on a Netgear router, you will not be able to connect to people on your friends list. Period. (Read: Animal Crossing Unplayable) Otherwise, it will take 5-7 times as long to find a match, and you risk random disconnection.
-
The problems with the Netgear have have nothing to do with connecting to WiiConnect24. The problems come from playing against other people, especially people on your Friends List. Once online play starts, you'll probably see problems. If you don't, then bless those Nintendo network engineers. Obviously, since there are no online games (Elebits isn't really an online game), this is all speculation on my part. I really wish I'm wrong, because Netgear routers have some really neat features, like the ability to assign static IP's to MAC Addresses. If I could go to Netgear and have my DS work, I would.
-
If the router is a WGR614, you are totally screwed. That router is incompatible with the DS WiFiConnection, and by proxy, when Wii's online play starts, it just won't work for you. Take it back if you can. Netgear refuses to acknowledge the problem, and the advice given on the Netegar forums is "Buy a Linksys".

And if you didn't enjoy Myst on the first play through? Bad example, I guess. I was trying to convey the fact that Phoenix Wright's replay value comes from the dialogue, if it has any. The first Phoenix Wright has a weakness in that the investigative parts are somewhat easy to ignore and blow through. Everythng you need to know is in the trials. It's still an awesome experience, and Case 5 is awesome. The story throughout the cases is awesome. Phoenix Wright 2 is generally harder than the first one, and requires you to pay attention during investigation, as there are details that you need to pay attention to. In addition, during investigation, you can lose life during certain questioning. Also, there are situations during trials where you can get fucked hard, like in Case 3 with a certain witness , or in Case 4, the final case of that, where pretty much everything will fuck you. Not to mention Case 4 is such an awesome mindfuck. Again, the storyline is pretty cool.

It's possible to score points in Wii Tennis without the computer making mistakes. It involves getting both of them to one side if you can, then hitting to the other side hard and fast. You can also hit a wide angled shot with your front guy if you can anticipate properly. I brought the Wii over to a friend's place, and literally on his first (and every subsequent try), was able to hit the very back corner of the inbounds at a speed an angle it was impossible for me to hit. Some of the learning curve, I found, is the right way to hold the Wiimote.

Alright the Xenogears trolling ends now. Only a foolish fool would foolishly consider that trolling. Foolish fool, trollish troll, what's the difference? Oh yeah, one's a mod. ON TOPIC: I've been meaning to try the Phoenix Wright games. I really need to pick one up soon, but do they have much replay value? It seems like once you've played a case there wouldn't be much excitement to doing it again. You can try to pretend otherwise, but once you know exactly how to play through a trial, that's it for the challenge. It has about as much replay value as Myst. What that means is, if you actually enjoyed replaying Myst, you'll like replaying this.

fazzle, Case 4 is enough of a departure that I hope it changes your mind. It's very unique, to say the least.

I just finished Phoenix Wright: Justice For All. Excellent, excellent game...makes me a bit disappointed to think of how long we may have to wait for the 3rd to be brought over. The last case lasted an incredible amount of time, with many twists and turns. I can see why many consider it the best case in the series. The best part about the case was I honestly thought I had it figured out early on. Watching the guilty party get it in the end, the look on the face, sheer terror. So satisfying. The third game has 5 cases, although I believe there are 2 short ones instead of one. Also, the third game ties all the loose ends from the first and second games together, especially regarding this person:

More time on the Elebits level, huh? Originally, I had it giving way too much time. Then again, I know where everything is. Making a level kind of sucks because you can't hide Elebits the same way the game hides them in levels, and only specific objects hide Elebits. But once you realize this, making them gets somewhat easier.
