    Repent.

Man, FrigidSoul has resorted to insulting the looks of a 14 year old wrestling fan. Whew. For a second there, I thought we had a challenger. Carry on, Mr. Malibu.

The Ronald Reagan National Defense Building?

Hamilton was one of the framers of the Constitution, though. Jackson was a xenophobic, genocidal hick.

    311 "Greatest Hits '93-'03"

In DC, they're playing at Meriwether Post Pavillion, which is a sucky venue. I'd see them if they weren't playing there.

411 writer Eric Szulczewski spits on Reagan's tomb

Yeah, but I didn't mention it because Michael Weiner doesn't matter.

Rush Limbaugh. Thanks for your time. Also: I have less problems with politicizing this event than I do with people bitching about the politicizing of Wellstone's death (which was incredibly mild, contrary to the news coverage of it) and then turning a blind eye to the politicizing of this event. It's politics, for Chrissakes, they're gonna politicize everything they can. Don't pretend that your side would NEVER DO IT EVER; that's simply a heaping crock of shit.

Happy birthday. Eat a bag of dicks in commemoration.

... FrigidSoul, you're a moron. Unless someone is randomly spouting off "LOL HE DIED WHAT A FUCKWAD " about the man, who cares if they speak a dissenting opinion against the flood of praise being showered upon the man by the media? I mean, for Chrissakes, you'd think a former President has never died. If people want to criticize his record, they should feel free. It's a tragedy that he had to suffer so badly, but that doesn't make him "untouchable" to criticism. God forbid Wellstone wasn't; he was demonized alongside all of the liberals who had the AUDACITY to honor him at his funeral. And regarding the Wellstone funeral that KKK and Mike are claiming was a BLATANT HUGE OMFGPOLITICORALLY, did you guys even watch the thing, or did you just see the highlights on Fox News? There was one speaker who decided to politicize it, and the extent of it was "Let's win this for Paul!" It was a two hour ceremony, and as it was said before, perhaps fifteen minutes of it was made political by a sobbing friend of Wellstone's. And as for exploiting deaths for political advantage? Well, gee, Republicans couldn't possibly be above that, could they? Politics as usual. And who the hell cares about 411? It's not like anyone gives a damn what a 40 year old lard assed wrestling fan thinks about Reagan's death.

    311 "Greatest Hits '93-'03"

"Creatures" was all over the radio last year, and I believe it peaked close to #1 on the charts. I love 311, but since I've already got most of their CDs, I see no need to buy the new album for all of two tracks. They sound good, though, so I'll probably cop them off of my free music downloads from my Slurpees.

    The Day After Tomorrow...

I realize I'm bumping a long-dead thread, but since I saw it over the weekend, I figured I'd do it to piss you off. I came in expecting pretty much nothing considering how much the conservatives (read: Mike) shat on it, but the lady wanted to see it. And I enjoyed it with the lowered expectations. The ending was pretty "...wtf?", but the rest of the film was fun. Lots of great special effects and the love theme wasn't overbearing at all. It lead to a few laughs, and if I wanted to see an intellectual film, I'd watch the fucking Discovery Channel. I wanted to see shit get ruined, and it delivered. Bravo. Nothing special, but it was a good time. Forgettable but enjoyable.

A Perfect Circle -- "The Noose"

    Tool.

Personally, I like A Perfect Circle a little better than Tool; Thirteenth Step and Mer de Noms alike are both incredible albums that tell a story better than 90% of albums out there. While I'll admit that I haven't listened to Tool as closely as I should to make a comparison, the subtle energy and clever lyrics invovled in both of APC's albums have led me to absolutely love them. Seeing them in concert also pretty much cemented that fact. Of course, when Tool releases their next album (whenever that might be...) I'll probably like them more than APC again. It happened with Lateralus, too. They're both heaping stacks of awesome.

    When did this happen?

It was a clip of Oprah talking about sex. The clip got fairly graphic, to the extent of Howard Stern-esque in its language (an interview with a sex therapist, I believe), and the host was asking why she'd never get an FCC fine for it while they'd get fined for saying the same thing. They got fined for it.
