This turned out about as well as it could have. Best case scenario is that Glavine starts next week, but I don't even mind if they put him on the 15 day DL retroactively and give Bannister or Perez a chance in the meantime.

Even though Green's having kind of a mediocre season, I think it would be a much better idea to start him and use Milledge as a fourth outfielder should the trade happen. I might be overly optimistic, but I think a change of scenery would do Green some good, especially when it says right in that story that he hasn't been too happy in Arizona recently. What I'm concerned about is what the Mets would have to give up for him; outside of a few pitchers and a couple position players low in the system, there aren't a whole heck of a lot of prospects for Minaya to barter with.
