Boone mentioned the Patriot Act when Hurley was going around with that census thing last season.

He probably made a big impression on Jack, since they talked about Sarah's surgery and miracles and then Sarah is fixed. There's gotta be some part of Jack that thinks Desmund had something to do with her walking again. Plus, him saying 'brother' probably jogged his memory at first, too.

The Jays TV guys are doing their best job at jinxing it. Hopefully that works.

I watch Conan and the Daily Show pretty much every night, but voted for Conan. The other shows I'll usually only watch if there's a guest I want to see, like Steve Carrell on Leno last night.

I can see giving the Daily Show best writing, but Conan's a better over-all show and should have won in that category.

Hope so. I was kinda hoping Russ Adams would have a big September and take the ROY for the AL, but that's not happening. Chacin had a really good July but kind of fell off since then so unless he does something huge in his last few starts, he won't win it, either. And I've said it before, but I think that baseball should just put a maximum age on the ROY awards. I know hockey did it after Sergei Makarov won it for Calgary way back when he was either 30 or pushing it. Make it 27 or 28 and there'd probably be less controversey over players coming over from Japan winning it.

I think Linden gave up the C when Vancouver signed Messier and then was traded later on to the Isles.

I consider Nieuwendyk for Lindros a lateral move, for the most part. Lindros has more upside than Nieuwendyk, but is more of an injury risk probably, even though Nieuwendyk missed about 20 games last season, so he's not likely to be 100% healthy, either. Losing Roberts sucks, though, and they haven't really replaced him. I agree with people saying they'll probably end up being a lower seed in the East, but I wouldn't be totally surprised if they missed the playoffs. They'll be fine in a couple of years, though.

Because he's their best reliever and it was a spot where they needed to shut the Jays down. Thankfully, it didn't work out for them.

I really didn't like Reunion at all. The premise is interesting, and it might be kind of interesting trying to figure out which one of them died. The acting was really bad and I hate the way they shoehorned the music in there to show it was 1986 (even though it would have been pretty much impossible to tell based on what the characters were wearing). The guy watching the 'Take On Me' video was the biggest part of that.
