  1. Thankfully, Hoglund isn't on the Leafs anymore. Didn't play for them last season, either.
  2. Oh, they're not THAT bad. Neale doesn't say 'An icing is just as good as a goal' or anything like that and there's just something right about hearing Bob Cole call a hockey game, even if he is 90 and falls behind the play sometimes (well, almost all of the time). I really liked the B-crew of Chris Cuthbert and Greg Millen over the 2 of them, but now that Cuthbert got canned and went to TSN, they're done. But if the CBC doesn't get their shit together, we won't be hearing any of them.
  3. Out of Practice is toast.
  4. It's soda.
  5. Hey, looks like I got my 7000th post on my birthday. That's pretty sad. edit: Actually, looking at my posts for the last bit, it was on the 26th but I hadn't posted since then. Man, most of my posts aren't any longer than 2 or 3 sentences, either. Bringing the content!
  6. You guys are just jealous.
  7. Just saw on ESPN.com that the Jays are shutting Halladay down for the rest of the year. Probably for the best, but it still pisses me off. Fucking Kevin Mench.
  8. Luongo's looking to be the only big name free agent next year, so the Leafs are obviously going to make a big play for him since Belfour will be done by the end of the year if not before that. I'll be crossing my fingers, anyway.
  9. The Jays are getting their asses handed to them. 15-0 Detroit and 12 of those runs are Dustin McGowan 'taking one for the team'. Fuck. EDIT: Now it's 15-3 in the 7th off homers from Koskie and Hinske. Comeback!
  10. Youch. That 108 ERA is pretty ugly, especially when I've still got him on my fantasy team for the rest of the week...
  11. Maybe we can have another one that's a roto league as opposed to H2H. If there are enough people who want more than 1 team, I guess.
  12. "I'm calling it 'Tricks' lemmefinish 'Around The Office'" And George-Michael's Star Wars video!
  13. I'm in to defend my title.
  14. Thank God. If I had started Koskie and Belliard instead of Erstad and Walker I'm pretty sure I would have won in runs, HRs, and RBIs, rather than a tie and 2 losses. My team is bad enough as is, I don't need to be unlucky on top of that.
  15. Listening to it on the radio is pretty fucking bad.
  16. I'm just waiting for some lame joke in some episode next season about people complaining about DVD cases. You know it's coming.
  17. I don't hate the Lindros signing since it's only 1-year and if it doesn't work out this year then it's no big deal. And hey, there's a lot of upside, because you know he'll be motivated since he's playing for his favourite team.
  18. Halladay's ommission from my list was nothing more than a brain freeze. He deserves to rate among the elite. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I figured that, I just wanted to throw his name out there.
  19. That might be more convincing had he not thrown 8 innings of 4 hit shut out ball today. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Empty numbers. And I'd take Roy Halladay over a lot of the guys Al mentioned.
  20. Sweet, 'Afternoon Delight'. I love this episode.
  21. That sounds weird. The Leafs signed Jason Allison. Better than nothing, I guess.
  22. There was talk he'd go to Pittsburgh, since he's friends with Lemieux, but they signed Roy as their enforcer, instead.
  23. Thanks, treble ... good to know that I'm not completely out of my mind for thinking that the Leafs had a geriatric watching from the press box that postseason. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think he was only benched for the last game or so of the Flyers' series, actually, but I think he was hurt or at least beat up and didn't do much when he was in the line-up.
  24. The Leafs only have about $10 million spent so far for the '06-'07 season, so they've set themselves up well for past this season. I still think they'll squeeze into the playoffs this year, though, but they're probably only the 4th best team in the division.
  25. Yeah, Francis. He didn't do much.
