  1. Watchmen has been watched. Review up shortly.
  2. I just had to spend a couple minutes clearing blood out of my throat. That's like the second or third worst way I've spent a morning ever.

  4. I haven't heard of any instances of this happening, I was under the impression that it was just because they were all working on their own things.
  5. I don't see why not.
  6. I got a free screening pass for this Monday. *exuberance*
  7. Except King For a Day was their 2nd best album and had no Jim Martin. This. Very underrated. I consider it the epitome of underrated albums. But I might differ with you if "Angel Dust" isn't 1st in line. "Angel Dust" is first in line, if for no other reason than because "Everything's Ruined" is their best song.
  8. I love that a movie that was almost straight to DVD won Best Picture. Makes me think I should watch more STV movies.
  9. Norm's last thing on Conan was hilarious. Investing in guys jumping off of buildings, over ripe melon, the stuff with Ramsey, great stuff.
  10. Except King For a Day was their 2nd best album and had no Jim Martin.
  11. I agree with this statement, except adding Faith No More, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, Mondo Cane, his solo work including film scores, General Patton vs the X-Ecutioners, Fantomas, and his maddening array of collaberations. Plus the stuff I'm probably forgetting.
  12. Salo is vastly overrated in terms of deviance.
  13. "Week End?"
  14. "Masculin, féminin"?
  15. Really? Man, why the hell did I think it was French? Ok, scrap the Decalogue and devote more time to the Three Colours Trilogy and Bunuel.
  16. "Breathless" is way more than pretty decent. Also, while they were never a part of the New Wave movement, Luis Bunuel made some great French movies. For newer French movies, go with the Decalogue and the Three Colours Trilogy.
  17. Yeah, "Eyes Without a Face" is another great one.
  18. Well if it's true then cool fricken beans.
  19. *shrug* Alls I know is that a little while ago there was a rumor that they were doing a European festival tour that was proven to be false.
  20. If you can tolerate weirdness, "Alphaville" is an excellent movie. Other than that, the best ones have already been mentioned. As for films that pre-date the era, "Diabolique" is an outstanding Hitchcockian thriller. Personally I'd steer clear of the pre-WW II Poetic Realism era, though. Stuff like "Rules of the Game" and such. Vastly overrated, in my opinion.
  21. Stephen Jones Dies At the End of This Book
  22. I thought this rumor was already disproven.
  23. No Truth Commission love?
