I'd really hate to be Tommy Dream and read this on the net, and it end up not being true. Well, I'd like it not being true but, eh, you know what I mean.
-
I've always wondered that also. To me, I think the same thing when a goody-goody says things like freaking, heck, crap, etc... in place of the more well known cuss words. They are expressing the same emotion for the most part, simply using a different word in it's place.
-
Yes, because you know me so well. I've never once said it on the boards here in any way, not only joking. I don't use the word in my "real life" in anything even CLOSE to a negative way, and never will. I just feel that if people are just joking around, like GM was, there shouldn't be some sort of issue about it. I'm all for the banning of the word totally, but you also wil need to ban all variations of the word as well, as well as a flat out ban on all other such words that people might use in jokes. There is no need to be one sided about it. Why don't you just ban everything that someone just might find the smallest bit offensive, joking or not?

I love that too. It reminds me of the old WCW ref, who passed away a few years ago unfortuently, Brian Hildebrand (Mark Curtis).

Yes, that is the Black Hole, if I remember correctly. One of the reasons I love TNA is because you see moves in that company (I know you can see them in ROH and other groups around the world, I'm just saying), is that you see moves there that you either don't see in WWE right now, or moves that you just WONT see in WWE. Just from the past two shows that I've watched... ...that's just a few that caught my eye, and something that we either don't see in WWE or will never see in WWE, under current rules (the Juvi Driver 911, I think it's called). Hell, in WWE you don't even see real cruiserweight matches for the most part.

That is the only reason I would second guess it. I still don't think it would hurt anything by having the mods at least privately contact posters with various opinions on what they think, the posters that most of the mods respect, etc... It never hurts to get a feel for things on the "outside". Whatever they do, and however they do it, the rules do need to be cemented, I still believe that.

Wonder if she'll like the three back to back Bod Spray commercials that are plaguing every damn movie that I've seen or several months Grandma: Uh, *Insert Downhome's real name here* Downhome: Yeah? Grandma....*whispers* I see black people! Yeah, she's in for a shock all right. I just know she'll end up leaving making everyone feel stupid. We don't have commercials in any theaters in my area. I hear people talking about that all of the time, but I haven't seen any of them around here. I'll let you all know how she takes being out in a public place like the theater, heh.

I don't see why they don't just poll the members and get our opinion on what we think. I'm not for them polling everyone for all of the rules, that would be stupid (most rules are obvious), but for stuff like this where people have different opinions on it and everything, I think we should have something of a say. Who knows, it might prevent some people from bitching in the future since the mods can then say "don't bitch at me about it, we went to the members and asked what they wanted". You know, something like what Loss did for the WWE folder, that was a great idea making a topic and getting feedback from everyone.

In a way, yeah. I still think you should just be able to flat out say it if you want as long as you aren't being racist though.
-
If you do that, do you have any idea how much stuff would have to be banned, in order for the rule to actually work? People should be able to say whatever they want, as long as they are not doing it in a way which is flat out racist, aka, obvious hate. Do you get what I mean?

I've always liked how she looks, dating all the way back to ECW. I just think she should stay totally out of the ring.

For the first time ever, get ready for this, I agree 100% with BOTH GM AND Cancer Marney. No offense to Tom, as I totally understand whey he "took action", but as I said before, anyone with half a brain can tell when someone uses the term in a flat out racist way and when they are joking. It's obvious GM was joking here, so what's the big deal? Like it was said before by someone else, people use the word on here and it goes off without a hitch. What needs to be done to keep this from happening again, is to make a rule and set it in stone. Either... A) ANY form and use of the word is against the rules and anyone breaking said rule will be punnished for it. B) Using the word is fine, except in the cases where (and like I said, anyone knows when it's being used in this way) someone is using it in a negative and racist way. ...as for myself, I agree with option 'B'. Now on both sides of this. I feel like Dr.Tom should admit that he took an extreme step in this case, and simply say he is sorry and admit he is wrong in taking the action that he did. He already admited that he did the wrong thing by going right out and suspending him instead of a warning. I think it's obvious to everyone here that he didn't just suspend GM for saying that word, like he said, GM has been getting under his skin for the past few days. I dunno, it would really look good of the TSM staff to do that, to sorta help shed the new image that the staff is unfair (not my words, others have said it). As for GM, you need to just get over this and look at it as miscommunication and forget about it. Harping on it over and over wont change what happened, you know that just as well as I. Like I said though, the rule does need to be cemented in one of the two ways I have above, just to keep confusion from this coming up again. If the rule was cemented (just like most of the other rules need to be cemented as well, but that's another issue), all of this wouldn't have happened in the first place.

Would you mind either telling me here (edited of course) what he said, or PM it to me so that I can actually have a solid opinion on this? I'm just currious by this point.

Lita has never been worth a shit in the ring. She's never looked like she knew what she was doing, she has always moved around in the most gawky way possible, and she always seems to put whoever she is in there at risk. I don't see a single positive thing about her when she's in the ring, I hate it now and I've always hated it. Tonight was just that much more worse than I've ever seen.
-
I think it's fine as long as you aren't doing it to be flat out racist. I think anyone here with half a brain can tell when someone is doing it.
-
I thought he used the word in a way where he was just talking about the word or something, that's what he's made it sound like. Oh well. He better be glad he was just suspended, people could be banned over using racial slurs on here.
-
Then what in the world is the big deal? He was punnished as he should have been.
-
Was GM's use of "the n word" derogatory exactly?
-
Wow what a way to end the show like that. Bring Brock out of nowhere, F5 Austin, then end the show right then and there.
-
Could someone please explain to me how Austin has power over Vince?
-
WTF, no Taker?
-
Or a VERY good one. Isn't that what I said?
-
Wow, sounds like Trish is having a painfull orgasm.
-
HOLY SHIT. That's one hell of a stiff one for Trish.

This is about as good as that time they tried to get us to believe that Chyna broke her neck doing that running flip thing into the corner.
