The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread
Downhome replied to Insane Bump Machine's topic in Video Games
But doesn't the strategy come in by being forced to wear down the other guy with different types of moves on that body part and the such. Meaning, if you do moves on that body part over and over again, once you have to do the submission deal, it's easier to get them to submit. I'll post a mini-review tomorrow night myself, for anyone who gives a piss. -

I'm under the impression that the "button mashing" deal, in terms of the submissions, is pretty strategic. I don't know for myself, I'm just repeating what I've heard. If you do it at the start of the match, both people who press the button (to escape or to submit) it's about equal, and can really get rough. However, say if you work over on your opponent, it gets easier for you to make them submit and it gets much harder on them. If that's true, I love this entire idea. -

Fair enough, but I think the grapple system is set up like Fire Pro's (if you've ever played it) where you wear down your opponent with weak moves and build up to the stronger ones (Signature are the strongest, I'll bet). Me likey! -

This is my last word on the subject, I swear. And after all that, IGN AND Gamespot STILL gave it a score of 9. My order has left Louisville, KY and is on the road East and then Northeast. Hell, the PSW (I believe that's the name of it) UK magazine gave it a 10/10 score. Just about everyone I've talked to that have played it now have nothing but great things to say about it, with a few going so far to say that it's the best US wrestling game of all time hands down and some saying that there is now no need for them to import wrestling games. -

Will someone answer this poor man's question?! He's flooding gamefaqs with it too. Either that or it's a really weird coincidence that someone with the name Downhome is begging someone to answer the same set of questions, heh. i want 2 no DOoD@!~~!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!!! -
I want Leia Meow/Kimona Wannalaya, and I want her NOW damnit!

CastleVania: Symphony of the Night, for the Playstation, is one of the few games that I call "perfect".
-
It plays like DMC, but with a whip. It obviously doesn't PLAY like the 2D titles, but it does FEEL like them. What I mean by that is the mood, the differnt monsters you come across, and all of that. It isn't perfect, but it's a very good start for Castlevania in 3D (I don't count the shitty N64 games). It's also less RPGy if you know what I mean, you don't really level up and all of that. It's a hardcore action game, oh yeah. It still has some RPG elements, but not as many as SotN or something like that.

Does the Season Mode difficulty determine how much money you get for each match? Basicly, if you start on easy, will it give you less money than if you do the Season Mode on hard? Does the ref actually count the pin and everything out loud? Also, does George "The Animal" Steele have his "eat the turnbuckle" deal? -
I would just like to say that the new Castlevania kicks every kind of ass that there is, I'm fucking LOVING it so far. I haven't got too much into it though, because I know that as soon as I get HCTP tomorrow, that'll by my "game to play" for a while. Still, the new Castlevania is just great, pure and simple. What with this new Castlevania out now, and the new TMNT game that came out last week, I'm loving thinking about old school. *wipes tear* It just takes me back.

*stumbles into thread* *looks over the thread* Hey guys, what's up here at GameFAQs? OMg!@@$@%%&~! -
Do you know where I can at least download all of those matches, or the entire show?
-
No, I'm just currious. Keep them all coming, heh.
-
I'm just currious as what what is the best, or the top five or so, TNA weekly shows that they have had so far. Thanks a lot guys. Sincerely, ...Downhome...

I was just sitting here saying to myself how desperately we needed another HHH bashing topic, full of cliched lines and more. Thank you.
-
Well that's not really opinion, it's quite possibly fact. I hear that Bret doesn't think much of Flair as a worker though.
-
A few nice words there for Ric Flair, cool.
-
I'm against ANY of the women, who take part in the women's division, from being taken out by any of the men. It discredits the women, the division, the title, and it adds nothing to the guys who DO abuse them, except for CHEAP heat. Period.

i just called WWE orfices and pretended to be brian gerwertzesws daddy and I asked him PERSONALLY if he knew this guy.. he did not~!
-
Shut the fuck up losers ? That's not what I'm thinking of, but it might work.
-
I know how to end this once and for all, but I'll allow someone else to say those five magical words.

You are indeed the voice of reason. I hate Edge, just to remind you.

Ok...then if we're all idiots...go away. The writing team recognizes talent? Yeah fucking right. That is why ratings are so fucking low. And maybe some of us don't want to try to get as far as you because *shock* we don't want to work for the WWE! Most of us have more promising careers lined up than that! what career do you have lined up? im working on a phd in applied physics. what about you? *ahem* fuck you. i've worked my ass off to get where i am now. Uh huh, I'm sure you have.
